I'm best known as the bassist of CSNY and Stephen Stills Manassas. I started out with Eddy Grant and the Equals. I've played with legendary acts like Jimi Hendrix, Manassas, Alvin Lee, Taj Mahal, Mick Taylor, Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, and Herbie Mann. I've played on soundtracks such as The Who's Tommy and on Taj Mahal's Mulebone.

As a session player, I played and toured with many different artists and bands in the 60's and 70's.

In recent years, I have written and produced my own solo albums such as "Love Don't Taste Like Chicken," "Organic Blues", and "Island Breeze".

Bass is my specialty, but I'm also an accomplished instrumentalist on the guitar, keyboard, drums and bazouki, a long-necked Greek instrument similar to the mandolin that I have tuned to my liking. The bazouki is my favorite solo instrument and is a unique accompaniment to any song.

I am excited to work on all kinds of new projects and infuse my experience and knowledge into the next generation of musicians. In joining the old and the new, together we can make more history.
