Bassist/Producer

A creative bass line, a consistent and precise groove that respects the space of the arrangement. The instrument, the tone and the right vibe for what the song needs. Those are the things that I search as a bassist. I also work as a recording/mix engineer and producer in my studio: Grita Music Lab.

I´m from Porto Alegre, Brazil, where I have my recording studio. I started playing bass and guitar in 1983, at the age of 8, since then I've been playing with a lot of people. I've lived in Paris, Barcelona and Rio de Janeiro always working with music. Touring and recording with artists like: Kid Abelha, Lobão, Armandinho, James McWhinney (Big Mountain/Vibes Up Strong) and lots of independent projects in different musical styles. I worked with renowned producers in Brazil, such as the grammy winner Paul Ralphes, Nilo Romero, Carlos Trilha and Celso Fonseca. In my studio I record, mix and produce local bands and artists such as: Vera Loca, Pata de Elefante and Duca Leindecker. I also compose and produce soundtracks for films and advertising for brands like: Make Up Forever, The Perfect Man Magazine and Claro.
I love to play Rock, Funk, Soul, Reggae, Blues, Folk, Hip Hop, Bossa Nova, Samba, Latin.
Influences: James Jamerson, George Porter Jr., Aston Family Man, Paul McCartney, Jamil Joanes.
