Producer, Engineer, Mixer

Tj Elias on SoundBetter

TJ Elias has been in the music business for over a decade starting out assisting one of rock music's most respected engineers, Nick DiDia(Rage Against The Machine & Dirty Honey). With DiDia he learned how to make a record from pre-production to mixing. I primarily work out of my studio in Atlanta, GA but will travel!

I've been fortunate to make all kinds of records with some of the most amazing producers assisting Ben Allen on Walk The Moon / Cut Copy and Brendan O'Brien Stone Temple Pilots / Mastadon. I love to work with talented artists and musicians. Let's have a conversation.

Contact me through the green button above and let's get to work.

Interview with Tj Elias

  1. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  2. A: I have a studio full of some of greatest outboard gear an engineer could as for and a computer with any and every option of plug in I can think of. I enjoy mixing in an extremely hybrid setup, meaning a good blend of in pro tools and out of the box with analog gear. I feel like it brings a nice character to the music that is difficult to replicate when just mixing ITB.

  3. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  4. A: Always been inspired by my mentors Nick DiDia and Brendan O'Brien in the rock sphere. Philippe Zdar is another favorite of mine. The way he puts mixes together so simply, but also pushing the boundaries of convention has always piqued my interest.

  5. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  6. A: Mixing, Recording, and Additional Production
