Ville Pekkanen on SoundBetter

Experienced in age (born 1980) but a passionate newcomer in music production. I am a versatile and in many ways civilized producer who has recorded and mixed one alternative rock album and has recorded, mixed and mastered couple of garage rock singles.

I started my music production career about five years ago when we started planning the second album of my alternative rock band Piru Kange. We made the first album in one of the top studios in Finland (Inkfish Oy) with a top-notch producer Illusion Rake. On the second album we wanted to do something different, something more old school and "less produced" alternative rock. So we decided to buy enough recording equipment to produce the album by ourselves. Because I had the knowledge and the interest in recording and mixing, I took full control of the production.

After five years of hard work and studying audio finesses we finished the record "Heimo" which I'm really proud of. Afterwards I was hired to be a producer-bass player in a garage band called Moscovitch Elite because the band's guys liked the sound I created in "Heimo". I have already recorded, mixed and mastered three Moscovitch Elite's singles and there is more to come.

Now I think I have found my "thing" as a musician, and that is to mix, master and produce mainly music that is played with "real " instruments.
