Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: I just love how the new music we create comes out, as we as a band stand together and do all the decision making as a one-piece. That works so flawless lately and i'm proud of that collab-spirit.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: Music for my band and releasing projects.

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

A: Not yet.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Digital. Because of all the possibilities. Analog. Because of the sound.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: It'll be 100% of what i can give.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I just love the pure energy of creating.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: I'll skip that for once.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That screaming in metal is easy.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: Where do you want us to take this?

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: What you want not tp happen to you, do not do to others.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Phone to call home and listen music. Solar Collector Electronic stove Surfboard (bet there is waves) A roof

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I do this for 16years now and have no intention of stopping. I'm in my 5th band now, creating the music i love for more than a decade. Can i ask for more?

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: I'm not flawless. It's raw. It's true to itself. But also i know, it's good and can stand up to other metal vocalists in all genres.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: In Flames. But also i would not, because it would end the myst. Then there is several artists i would like to meet, like Casper (german rapper), Fynn Kliemann (singer/Songwriter, Pop artist), Serj Tankian for sure. Some others for several reasons.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: If you scream, do not scream into the microphone. Scream at the wall 6feet behind it.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Metal. Metalcore. Deathmetal. Singer/Songwriter. Sometimes Pop.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Screaming & a feeling for great metal-vocals.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: Passion. In any form.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: For lyrics 1: I write entire lyrics, german or english, to a previously defined theme or free from my mind. If you hire me for this type of work, i'll do my best to support your song and make it lyrically amazing. For lyrics 2: If i get pre-defined lyrics, german or english, i can add or change them to sound phonetically better. (especially german, if you're not native) If you hire me for this type of work, i'll do my best to support your song and make it lyrically better. In both lyric cases this is how it works: 1. You send me your idea and instrumental 2. i'll listen to what you send me and then think about, how of if i can help you 3. If i can, i'll send you a proposal, or find someone who is better for the job (if i know someone) 4. I write the lyrics and come back to you to make one round of changes. 5. You get the final lyrics as lyrics.txt or lyrics.googledocs For vocals: If i record vocals for you, this is how it works: 1. you send me a proposal 2. i'll listen to what you send me and then think about, how of if i can help you 3. If i can help you, i will step 4. ... and if not i'll send you a message wit ha recommendation, if i know someone who could do it better 4. I will send you a proposal 5. You send me your song as mp3 and the BPM to record to. It has to start at 0, so it will all be just right in the DAW. 6. I'll take my time to record (as this is a side-hustle, it may sometimes take a while) 7. I'll send you a mp3 of the vocals and music mix and a zip with unmixed, unmastered, pure vocals.wav file. 8. And then, we're hopefully all happy. :D

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: My studio is the one we just set up with my band. We're independent and can record anything in our rehearsal room studio with the equipment as stated above.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: I love Anders from In Flames. He's inspirational as an artist. Also Serj Tankian from System of A Down is one of my heroes, as he was the one making me want to learn screaming and shouting. Then there are several musicians that crossed my path. Honorable mentions are Narziss, Killswitch Engage, Heavenshallburn, Westernhagen, Queen, Caliban, Parkway Drive and Protest the Hero or Johnny Cash.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I write lyrics and i scream them in a microphone.
