Smooth, soulful vocals with an R&B core — I create custom hooks, verses, and full songs that feel like something you’ve lived through.
What’s up — I go by IV, and I’m a singer-songwriter and recording artist based in Orlando. I specialize in crafting emotionally charged records across R&B, Soul, Neo-Soul, Pop, and Dancehall, with over 160+ custom songs written and delivered to customers and organizations alike.
Whether you need a radio-ready hook, a heartfelt verse, or a full custom track, I deliver vocals that are clean, vibey, and layered with intention. My tone sits naturally in the baritone range, with smooth falsetto transitions and a signature low-key delivery that listeners connect to instantly.
All vocals are recorded from my treated home studio with a professional setup, delivered as high-quality WAVs, and tailored to your project. Let me know the mood, message, or moment you’re aiming for — I’ll bring it to life.

Interview with IV
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Chad Dexter, real authentic cat with a thorough ear for sonics.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: “In Between” — wrote and performed everything solo. It was spotlighted by T-Pain during a Twitch live session, which was a crazy moment of validation.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Project season is upon us. Full body of work coming very soon.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital — the flexibility and speed fits my workflow, especially when layering vocal textures and experimenting with vibe.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: You’ll get vocals that are clean, intentional, and tuned to the exact mood you’re aiming for — always on time and tailored to your vision.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Turning someone’s story or emotion into a record they can feel and replay. Nothing better than that.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Q: “Can you match this vibe?” A: 100%. Just send a reference or describe what you’re feeling, and I’ll tailor the delivery to match.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That singing or writing a good song is just about sounding nice — it’s really about communicating a feeling.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What mood or message are you going for? Who’s the song for? What artists or energy should it feel like?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Bring your story, your vibe, or your idea — the clearer your vision, the more I can bring it to life. If you’re not sure, I’ll help shape it.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: AT4040 mic, Scarlett interface, laptop, closed-back headphones, solar charger (gotta stay in plugged in).
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Started writing songs in 2019, recording for others soon after. I took the corporate route for a little bit to build financial security. But now that chapter has closed as I’m now stepping fully into the artist and client world professionally.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Smooth, reflective, and subtly bold — like saying everything without raising your voice.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Blxst. He’s got that perfect balance of melody, vibe, and slick delivery. Dwade & Bron type of duo on a smooth, R&B joint with bounce for both the streets and the playlists.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don’t overdo reverb — space is good, but clarity wins. Let the vocal breathe first, then dress it up.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: R&B, Soul, Neo-Soul/Soul, Dancehall-infused hooks, and emotional Pop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Vocals that sit emotionally in the pocket — smooth, textured, and believable.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Mood, authenticity, and emotional control — I know when to hold back and when to let it spill. Every line has a purpose.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: You tell me the vibe or story — I draft melodies or lyrics first, lock in the vocal tone, then record clean stems and fine-tune with edits before delivery.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Treated home studio, Audio-Technica AT4040 mic, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface, Logic Pro X, and KRK Rokit Pro studio monitors dialed in for vocal clarity.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Drake, Leon Thomas, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Nipsey Hussle — anyone who blends smooth vocals with honest writing.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Custom songs — mostly for gifts/special occasions, emotional storytelling, or soulful hooks over pre-made beats.
All vocals are delivered as high-quality WAV stems. Turnaround time is typically 3 business days. Up to 3 revisions are included per project. Please provide clear direction upfront to ensure results.
