Country, Pop, & Americana Songwriter, Producer, and Mixing Engineer. My primary focus is working with songwriters to create demos that will help their song stand out in a pitch. All demos and mixing sessions can be done remote or in our production studio for local clients. Credits include UMG Nashville, and River House Artists.
Hey Everyone!
I'm a pop and country/pop songwriter, producer, and mixing engineer based out of Nashville, TN. I initially started my journey in the music industry as an artist and was able to build a diverse network of writers, producers, managers, and other artists alike. I transitioned to the production side when I started writing more and became a track writer for most sessions which has allowed me to work on production for many different styles.
My favorite part about the production process is taking a very simple voice memo work tape and guiding it to a polished piece of art that you never imagined it could turn into. When I start a new project with a client, I don't just ask for song references and what kind of music inspires them. I like to learn about the client first and who they are to get a deeper understanding of the project as a whole.
I offer services from demo production for songwriters looking to pitch their songs to publishers & artists to full production (in-studio & remote) as well as all post production services including, Mixing, Mastering, Vocal Tuning/Alignment, Vocal Comping, Session Editing/Clean-up, and whatever else you can think of.
I look forward to hearing what you have to offer to the world and hope that I can be a part of your creative process!

Interview with Andrew Scholz
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Whatever I have access to. In small production studios, digital is great because you can achieve a lot of the same sounds you get in a large (expensive) primarily analog studio. However, for multi-tracking full bands, analog is the way to go.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I strive to bring out the best of an artist's or songwriter's capabilities. Whether I am working directly with them or remotely, I'll work with you until everyone is satisfied.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a large home production studio located in Nashville, TN that is acoustically treated.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly work on demos as a track writer and mixing for many different genres.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I typically work with Pop and Pop/Country artists but have experience working with other genres like Indie-Rock, Rock, and Americana/Folk.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The one I just mentioned... Both Production and Management.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: We are currently working on a pop project with one of our artists that we can't wait to share.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't try to imitate. Experiment with the tools you have to create something unique.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Turning the vision into a tangible product.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Every session is different and should be treated as such.
