Recording Musician+Engineer

Eric Margan on SoundBetter

My story:16 years of experience making and playing on recordings. I started as a session bass player and branched out into the engineering side- recording and mixing. I now have a healthy collection of gear- vintage and modern microphones, guitars, basses, keyboards, drums, plug-ins, and mixing/mastering capabilities. Basically a one-stop-shop.

I am a producer, mix engineer and session multi-instrumentalist. I will work alongside you to get your track sounding great and take care to articulate your individual style.

Primarily I polish the tracks, fill out the arrangement of what a client gives me- doing overdubs with the various instruments that I play- then mix and can provide a good-quality mastering job too if that's required.

My composed/intuitive choice of a part to play on one of my instruments
My performance of your pre-written solo or backing part (you can send me sheet music or just your own version played into the arrangement for me to double by ear)

For mobile overdubs, the recordings I deliver will always be in true studio-quality. I will provide you with 24-bit .WAV, 48kHz audio files of the isolated D.I. (direct input) tracks, microphone and amp tracks, as well as a quick .mp3 mix. See my FAQ section for the specific gear I use.

I guarantee that I will deliver professional recordings that meet or exceed your expectations.

I have a Music Industry degree from The College of Saint Rose and have toured all over the USA and produced several albums for artists.

Feel free to place an order directly on this page, or send me a message first to discuss the specifics of your project!
