I'm an award winning vocalist and songwriter who started his career signing to Columbia Records with alt-southern rock band Sweet Vine. I have written, sung and helped produce songs for multiple albums in multiple genres and have also done voice-over work and jingles. I'm easy like Sunday morning to work with and I love to collaborate.
I'm a Sacramento based singer/songwriter who signed to Columbia/Sony in the mid-90's with roots rock band Sweet Vine. The band released one self-tiled album of melodic, southern rock tinged jams with a touch of blue-eyed soul. Since then I've written and recorded songs in multiple genres including soul, r&b, funk, synthy indie pop and rock. I've appeared as a guest vocalist on projects ranging in style from jazz fusion to hip hop. I've won several Sacramento "SAMMY" awards for Best Vocalist, Best Singer-Songwriter, Best Funk and more. I've tried my hand at a couple local Sacramento area radio jingles and done a bit of voice-over work for local casinos. I'm fully equipped here in my little home studio to produce vocal tracks for your project.
Recently I recorded 7 or 8 tracks for Mario here on SoundBetter for a project where each song was a different genre of music. His review of my session speaks for itself. I'm very communicative and easy to work with and I truly enjoy bringing your ideas to LIFE! Let's make some great music together!

Interview with Hans Eberbach
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: An electronic looping "chill" set I'll be performing in Ableton Live and some new, organic stripped down recordings and lyric videos of the rootsier singer/songwriter stuff I perform with one of my bands, HANS! and the Hot Mess. Also two new tracks and two videos for my other band, Joy and Madness.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: My turnaround time. 1-3 days per track has been typical depending on what else I'm juggling with my own performance schedule.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Soulful, melodic, unique, fluid, emotional
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: My own personal work varies mainly between guitar driven and rootsy singer/songwriter pop, rock and soul and electronic hooks and jams composed in Ableton Live
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Musicality and pacing of the melody and dynamics of a vocal performance. Improvisation. Creating a "believable" and emotionally resonant vocal performance.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Passion. Creativity. Adaptability. Emotion. A great ear for interpreting and creating memorable melodies.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a few simple "go-to" microphones for my voice. Shure SM-7B, Groove Tubes GT57, Blue Bottle, AKG C-1000, with access to higher end vocal mics as well. I use my trusty RME Fireface 400 as my audio interface and I have a UAD - 2 Satellite.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mostly I've done lead vocal tracks or hooks where backing music has been provided along with a lyric sheet and a recorded reference for the melody.
