Endorse Magnus Hyden, Supertonic MusicI have been working with Magnus Hyden consistently since 2011. He is an amazing songwriter/instrumentalist/producer/mixer/masterer. He has worked magic on all of our songs and he has taken all of them to the next level of excellence! He is always ready to work hard and do his best. He really knows his stuff and can tackle any genre! 10/10
I've worked with Magnus on several projects where Magnus has been doing the production and/or mixing. When Magnus mixes you know he will put 100% to your mix and bring in your feedback/fx-production ideas. We've also co-writen some songs and Magnus is very easy to work with. He is productive and keep the flow going.
I've toplined with Magnus for a recent house track and it has been a pleasure from start to finish. Feedback is always quick and accurate, enabling me to work on certain parts my end with a clear aim and end goal. Skilled producer, organised, professional!
I have worked with Magnus on five albums and we are about to record the sixth. Magnus does the recording, mixing, producing and mastering. I can not see myself working like that with anybody else.
Chuck Ransom
Chuck Norris ExperimentI collaborated with Magnus as a topliner to one of his tracks. He is very professional and easy to work with. We've been having contact over the internet, and I really appreciate Magnus skills when it comes to organize all the files and stuff!
Interview with Magnus Hyden, Supertonic Music
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use Logic Pro x as my DAW with an Apogee symphony system. When mixing, I use my wonderful Bricasti M7 reverbs - I have two of them, and every mix I run through a Great River MixMaster 20 summing mixer, a TK BC-1 SSL type Buss compressor and my Inward Connections TSL-4 limiter. My monitors are Barefoot MM35s. In production I also incorporate my hardware synthezisers, both analog and digital.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I use digital for precision, but running my mixes through my high end analog chain have made me use less plugins, especially compressors. The analog chain has help me getting closer the sound I'm looking for.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Know what you are looking for - have a clear vision of what you are trying to achieve.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started out as a Bass player, I have my AA degree from M.I. Hollywood 1998. When moving back to Sweden I got more interested in production after finishing a self-produced album with my band Laguna Stardust. I built my first studio 2003 and it's been evolving since then.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I have been doing a lot of electronic music lately, but I also do my share of rock, pop and singer-songwriter.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When working with a client, the most important is to first make sure I understand the vision they have, what they are trying to achieve. From there every project is unique.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My most common work is either to produce a song from scratch or mix a finished production.
