Hey I am Cedric,I am a freelance Music producer based in Nairobi, and i do the essential beat making, as well as a bit of mixing, have have been producing for about 2 years now, Most of the work I have done is for different clients on different Freelance websites.
I would describe my sound as a being dark, moody and broody, i generally produce within the genres of contemporary R&B as well as Afro beats.

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Well Digital, cause that is all I have ever used
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is going to be me delivering you a satisfying final product that suits your needs but most importantly show you what to expect when you take the chance and work with a fellow creative giving them the opportunity to show what they can do.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like the freedom of being able to express my emotions through the medium of music and being able to share that feeling with people and hopefully inspire the creativity within them.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That what I do is limited by the gear i have, and i do not believe that, i know that i will have the chance to upgrade where i need to when i can and i know that i can deliver with what have.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: One if the things I will ask is to provide me with all the information i need in order to help them achieve their goal, this is important because i am also able to clearly outline what i am able to do at the moment
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I would advise them to take the opportunity to give someone a chance to impress them the mutual benefit of working with someone in this platform can be the start of something special
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My headphones, Laptop, Flash drives, Speakers and charger haha
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: At the moment I am in university, Studying International Relations and security studies, i have been producing for about 2 years now

A: My style is a smooth, dark and melancholic.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I am looking to work with a artist who has a clear picture of what they want, and with their talent are keen on delivering a performance that creates a mood and captures the emotions of their audience.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I think one tip i would give is always achieve to create a mood with your music, the emotional aspect of the art is the most important thing, people always remember how they felt when they first heard your song.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I enjoy making dark contemporary R&B, I also do Afro beats,
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is providing space within my productions to allow an artist to sit within or to have my productions stand alone and still shine, the beats i make are typically made for somber times the times when people are experiencing peak emotional stimulation
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring unmatched feeling to a song, my beats should be able to give an artist or songwriter the inspiration to execute and deliver a fantastic project.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Usually i need to be inspired to make beats and I like to take my time with my productions, for me the feeling is the most important thing. I need to be able to translate the emotions i have during a certain time into my beats and leave it to the listener to interpret.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Its not much, I do everything at the moment using my HP laptop and my Audio technica M40X headphones, it might not be called a studio set up at all but i still deliver results in the end.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: One of the individuals in the business i really look up to is Noah "40" Shebib, the work he does on the OVO sound roster has always inspired me to pursue Music especially production, his sound has shaped what I do and i will always be grateful for what he brought to the table

A: What I specifically set out to do is beat making, I also do Music production and Mixing upon request
