Southpaw on SoundBetter

Hello, I am a recording artist, writer, and keyboard player living in Los Angeles. I have been singing since my father's voice (he is also a singer) captivated me at an early age. I have recorded with artists such as Michael Buble, Robin Thicke, Rob Knox, Macy Kate, Mickey Shyloh, and many more.

There's a saying: You're only as good as your last record. I approach every project with the emotion and attention to detaiI that I would if it were my own.

-I will provide you with a radio-ready vocal (assuming that's what you're going for!). I have been recording vocals for over 15 years, and know how to give your song emotional life while not straying from the rhythm and melody you have carefully put together. I can sing soul, pop, deep house and edm, rnb, and rock.

-I am an obsessive, constant songwriter. I am pursuing a career as a writer, so if you need lyrics and/or topline I will bring you a unique, effective lyric and melody. This has the added benefit that I regularly meet with BMG publishing, Hollywood Records, various a&rs and executives that could help make something happen with our song if we share publishing. I like to start with a concept or central idea, but also love the puzzle of putting a melody to lyrics or poems. I specialize in deep songs, telling a story, juxtapozing an unexpected theme with a contrasting beat.

-I have been gigging and recording as a keyboard player for 15 years. In the last 3 months at the time of this writing, I have played at some of LAs best clubs, Viper Room, House of Blues, Los Globos, and a democratic convention in Sacramento. I specialize in Fender Rhodes, piano, synth, and organ.

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.
