I am David Maria Trapp - mix engineer for Giant Rooks, AnnenMayKantereit and many more. I’ve worked with artists such as Giant Rooks, AnnenMayKantereit, Tom Walker, Jeremias, Christian Löffler, Roosevelt, Juli, Alice Merton, Ásdís, Cat Ballou, Fatoni, Kraftklub, Deichkind, Clueso, Herbert Grönemeyer, Banks, Gossip, Drangsal.
I have made music in bands for more than 20 years and found love for the production process and for the mixing of songs in particular.
My premises are located within the legendary Maarwegstudios (former EMI studios) - consisting of one acoustically controlled mixing/mastering suite that is the perfect place to listen and work on music deeply and a second room packed with instruments, magic boxes and good vibes.
The core of my work as a mixer is to enhance the production by sculpturing the feel of every song to its full potential. The artists’ and producers’ vision is my guideline and I always establish a relaxed atmosphere and good communication.
