Over 7 years of experience in songwriting, singing, production and working in collaborative projects. I find the greatest inspirational force is one found in group projects, surrounded by other talented individuals creating and feeding off of each other's energy.
I'm interested in being a part of a writing team, writing for artists, providing background and lead vocals (my vocal range is E2-A4, F5 Falsetto), tuning and comping vocals, and producing either part of a beat, a full beat, or an entire song for an artist. I tend to work mostly on R&B, Pop, and Hip-hop tracks but I am very comfortable with all genres of music. Those are my main interests and my strongest abilities as an artist but I am also able to provide you with piano for your song. I am very flexible and open to any project ideas you have in mind. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have or ideas you'd like to run by me. Thanks for stopping by!

Joseph I’d a pro. I needed a project completed and he came through. We were able to complete a project despite full schedules and before the holiday break and he was instrumental in making it happen.

I've never had a 'one-take' recording session with anyone until working with Joseph. He went above and beyond expectation with his performance and professionalism. He is so damn good. I can't wait to work with him again.
Interview with Joseph Wiedinmyer
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Along with working with my clients, I'm also working on my own music and plan to release an EP by the end of the year.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The ability to create something that doesn't exist and work on a team that inspires each other to do just that.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Communicate effectively. Make sure to describe your goals and intentions entirely.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My phone...duh. I'd probably bring (if there was somehow electricity on this deserted island) my computer, a violin, midi controller, and headphones.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: 6lack because I admire his work, including the music itself, his work ethic and his creative process.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't underestimate the power of layering.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: The most common genres I work on are Pop, R&B, singer-songwriter, and Hip-hop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Professionalism. My vocals are pretty alright as well.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring years of experience as a vocalist, songwriter, procured and collaborator. I also provide new insight into the project and develop ideas for the benefit of the client.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: The first thing I do is listen to and truly get to understand the client's needs. Then, I take what they give me to work with, import it to Logic, and get to work whether that means recording vocals, writing what needs to be written, or producing what needs to be produced. I bounce the stems, triple-check the quality and send the desired stems to the client.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My current studio set up includes a Neumann U47, CL-1B, Apogee Duet, KRK Rokit 10's, Maschine Mk3, Komplete Kontrol s49 Mk2, Macbook Pro, Logic Pro X, Waves bundle, Fabfilter bundle, and Komplete 12 Ultimate.
