Meet Robert Artus, a talented singer-songwriter hailing from Rochdale. Despite not having achieved massive success in his music career yet, Robert is a true artist at heart, pouring his heart and soul into every song he creates.

I love music because it gives me somewhere to put everything I carry. It’s the one constant that’s been there through the good and the bad, and the only place where I can be completely honest. My music lives between post-hardcore and alternative, but at its heart it’s emotional, raw, and real. I work entirely independently, handling everything myself so nothing loses its meaning along the way.

I started playing guitar when I was young, but music became essential when life got difficult. Writing songs turned into a way of surviving, not just creating. A lot of what I write comes from lived experience: addiction, isolation, anger, recovery, and rebuilding myself piece by piece. I don’t try to soften those moments. I want the songs to feel exactly as they were.

I’m based in Liverpool and originally from Manchester, and both cities have shaped my sound. There’s grit, vulnerability, and intensity in the music, with storytelling always coming first. Every track is part of my journey, made honestly and on my own terms.
