Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Working on Heaven Sent. www.heavensentmusic.net
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Working with new artist, who is learning their way about the studio.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: In the pass I recorded, mixed Hiphop, Rock, Jazz, R&B. But now I have kids. I want to do music that empower and uplift.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Strongest skill is listening. Not just for how the take is but does that goes with the song or as a fan I would like to hear this on the track and give really world feed back.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring me "The fan".
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: pre pro couple of times, record, and mix faders (no eq, no compression, no fx). Listen back as and audience/fan and give feed back.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What's your goal for this song/project.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Their heart. Are they doing for the money or to build a relationship where money will come.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Kirk Franklin, because how he uses his gift to uplift and empower his audience.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Come to the studio/session ready to work. Not when you get to the studio.
