Being an experienced recording, mixing and touring engineer I've learned how to follow the artist's vision and how to be extremely flexible in every situation. I've also learned, through my 20 years of experience, to recognize when I have a pure talent in front of me and give my best to make it shine.
I own a recording studio facility in Greece and a PA rental company. I mainly do recording and mixing for a very wide variety of music genres. I also provide touring engineer services for national acts here in Europe.

Endorse Petros PetropoulosI’ve had the chance and pleasure to work with Petros at many levels and on several occasions, both as a performing artist with my band The Rockin’ Dead and as a Festival organizer (ΦantastiCon). His valuable touring engineer skills, PA setup knowledge and quality equipment combined, always bring out an outstanding sound outcome and end result in requiring environments! His deep technical expertise, thorough professionalism and positive attitude make him a key partner on which one can rely no matter the endeavor and so I strongly endorse and recommend him!

My cooperation with Petros started in 2014 and since then I haven't find someone as knowledgeable as him in sound engineering and music. He will give 120% of himself to get the best possible result. Both his experience and technical skills will help you to overcome yourself and be better.
In Petro's recording studio (very spacious) me and my band managed to find our unique sound. The equipment is amazing, in every way, and you can create music like nowhere else.I have worked with Petros several times in both live & studio recording conditions and I’ve always been really satisfied with the result. I am happy to have trusted Petros to record my piano compositions. Recording an acoustic piano presents enormous challenges and Petros, thanks to his great experience as a sound engineer and musician, has been the right person to undertake this demanding task. The sound was impeccable, balanced, warm and natural, exactly what I was looking for! Excellent engineer, great person, full of ideas and really hard working. Can’t wait to record again!

He is able to understand the needs of a musician, provide technical solutions and present interesting ideas. I have recorded many piano pieces in his natural piano at his studio and the result was excellent. I highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in high

My first recording was like my first love !! Unforgettable ! Petros was gentle, guiding and patient. I brought my favorite gear (cymbals and snare) and he handled them with utmost respect. That tells ME, a lot about an awesome professional. Thanks for the experience!
Great engineer and great guy! Whenever I've recorded drums with Petros, the results are always superb and he has a unique ability to capture the drum sound I have in my head with minimal effort!
Also, the studio drum kit he uses is one of my favourites (the always spot-on Yamaha Recording Custom)!I recently met Petros and I am very happy that I found at last the right guy to collaborate for my projects :-) Petros has a very deep knowledge of the sound engineering technical aspects, in addition has remarkable artistic taste in a variety of musical genres, so he is very helpful in all stages of musical production, from arrangement to the final mastering. Interview with Petros Petropoulos
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: The heart of my studio is my Tascam M600 analog console. That particular console was fully recapped in 2019. It's a nice warm sounding board with tons of headroom and character. Lot of outboard gear including Avalon 747,737 and the best reverb ever made Lexicon 480L. Lots of mics Neumann, Shure, Akg, Sennheiser. Marshall and Fender amps for reamping. And a lot more backline choices.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I'm open to everything. I specially enjoy projects that have acoustic or electric instruments.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I've worked with a lot of well known artists.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: If their songs can sound like the reference song that they have in mind. My answer is, that it is equally important to create a characteristic sound that will help your song to really make a difference. To immitate something already existing is the easy way to go.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm proud for all of my projects. I am especially proud for one of my big projects., a live concert in 2017 in one of the most iconic theatres in Greece. Sixty musicians on stage with a ballet. Concert had two parts. First part was M.Theodorakis songs from 'Epitafios' with the original singer Mary Linda, the best buzuki soloist today and the Kievo Symphonic Orchestra. Second part was the Orchestra with a ballet performing 'Zorba the Greek '.i did the FOH Engineer and i also mixed the multitrack at my studio for the Greek National Television.
Q: What do you like most about your job?

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I would recommend the website to my clients.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Just my 'ears'.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A jazz project that i also recorded in my studio.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog for the sound and inspiration, and digital for the recall.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To respect their vision and trying to take it one step further.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Never thought of that. I know how to put everyone and everything in order. Don't let room for misconceptions.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Questions regarding their vision and excpectations.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Three things are the most important if you are working online .Communication Communication and the third Communication again!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Depends on the project. Most of the times I end up to a hybrid type of mixing.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: First of all I'll bring up what the artist wants, and secondly my personal vibe.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started as musician 25 years ago. I bought my first console in 1998. Started my own rental company and recording studio facility in 2006 and keep going....
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I like rich sounding mixes with a lot of character. Smooth but with all the needed energy.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Prepare yourself with a vision and do it fast !
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Open minded, patient and determined.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I grew up with the ''Seattle Sound'' bands.( Nirvana, Soundgarden, RATM, etc). So when I have something that 'rocks' this is an inspiring sound I have in mind. But it is always depends on the artist's inspiration in the first place. Then I really like some classics like Bob Marley, John Cash, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac etc. As far as the 'cleaner' sound I like the Motown records a lot.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common work I do for my clients is recording, mixing and mastering for various genres of music. Most of them are asking me also for touring.
