Shuta Shinoda is the recording engineer and producer, nominated for Mercury prize 2015 for Ghost Poet, at Hackney Road Studios; a multi-room facility housing two premium quality vintage recording studios, each containing some of the most desirable vintage and modern specifications available in the industry today.
Studio A--Control room SSL E series - a classic and highly sought-after console. Plus a selection of the very finest mic pres the likes of Neve, Rupert Neve Portico, API, Altec, Manley, Purple BIz, Universal Audio, DBX and Focusrite. Recording area in studio A has a large space with varied textures, wall surface that provides an astonishingly big sound and is widely considered to have one of the best drum sounds in London.
Studio B-- Control room houses 24 channels Neve V66 series console along with SSL Channel Strips, Fairchild 660, Pultec EQH-2, Neve 33609 plus astonishing ATC monitors(Near field and Large). Also Same good complement of outboards as studio A and a comprehensive selection of plug-ins. Recording area in Studio B is an ideal space for tracking vocal, solo instrument.
