With a Grammy nomination and millions of streams in Pop, Indie Pop, Country, and Folk/Americana genres, I can provide stand-out mixes and productions that are tailored specifically to your sound. In Nashville for the past 7 years I've worked with artists such as Judah and The Lion, Jason Isbell, Kenna, Brooke Alexx, and Janis Ian.
MIX ENGINEER AND PRODUCER:
Two of your goals as an artist should be for your music to:
1) Sound professional and competitive
2) Sound unique
If they can accomplish those two things they will stand out from the other music that you will undoubtably be competing against. I can give you those two things from my years of experience and my love of pushing the boundaries of genres. I will take the time to find sounds that fit your song that other mix engineers simply will not.
Being a producer and songwriter as well as a mixer lets me look at my mixes from a broader view. How are the sounds I'm creating adding to the song itself? I focus on a vocal central mix so the listener is able to follow the story you have taken so long to create. Building dynamic mixes that capture the listener both sonically and emotionally is the most important thing to me in my work. A person needs to feel the lyrics, the music, and the mix for a song to be successful.
Finally, I will work with you closely and keep you updated the whole time so that you are 100% satisfied by the end. You are the artist representing this music and I want you to be proud of it.

Jared mixed and mastered a song for my band Aaira and the result was excellent. Working with Jared has been a real pleasure. He has been very involved in the project and communication with him has been very easy despite the time differences between Madrid and Nashville. He has provided us with the top quality sound that we were missing in our productions.

Jared is really awesome to work with. He is communicative, hard-working, and brought so much life, warmth, and brightness to my music that was missing. He is extremely talented and highly trained as well. He worked until we were both satisfied with our project and was open to new ideas. He provided a professional and safe environment where I was able to give details of what my visions were, and he worked to make those visions come true. I would highly encourage anyone to work with Jared.

Solid producer with good musical instincts. Extremely thorough and oriented to deliver what the client wants. Even after I was happy with a mix, Jared was still identifying how to make it better. Very responsive to requests and comments. Strongly recommend!

Jared is a really great person to work with! He is a very talented musician and producer. He is very positive, respectful, and listened to my ideas for what I wanted in my song, making it even better than I had imagined. Jared works quickly and is super-responsive. We worked remotely and it went very smoothly. I have just sent him my next song.
Jared has the ability to maintain a hard-working and focused atmosphere, while keeping the process relaxed and stress free. He takes into account the artist's needs, while maintaining his own vision; resulting in records that reach their full potential as a product that best represents the artist's identity.
I would definitely recommend Jared to anybody who wants to take their music to the next level and make a product that is authentic and competitive in today’s music industry. He really can take you there. He was able to satisfy every expectation I had, and in doing that he was always kind, patient, fully committed and respectful of my vision.
What sets Jared apart from any professional I've worked with is how conscientious he was of how I wanted my songs to sound. Every step of the way, he's positive, relaxed, invested, has such creative talent and instinct, and is a blast to work with. He transformed my music, and he's the person I would call up to work with again!
I started working with Jared fall of 2014, and since then we have joined to complete various different projects both together and between cities. As a producer, he understands the importance of artistry and aesthetic, ultimately producing with authenticity. Always keeping focus and taking notes, he not only fulfills the artist's vision, but more!
Over the years we have worked for each other as engineers, producers, mixers, and players. In any role, Jared is professional yet relaxed. As a producer he has a clear vision that he achieves by keeping a supportive and fun atmosphere. As a mixer he doesn't rest until the client is happy and he knows he has released the full potential of the song.
I've worked with Jared Anderson on many many projects. Honestly, it's been the best experience I've ever had with a producer/songwriter/engineer. He is patient, creative, and extremely hardworking. He always makes his clients so comfortable in a work situation. I feel that I was able to put out my best work when I was collaborating with Jared!
Interview with Jared Anderson
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I think realistically, digital is what is going on right now. But I definitely have an "analog" mindset. I believe in face to face interactions, musicians being in the room with other musicians, and more classic approaches to recording and production. That being said, when plugins are getting better at mimicking the real analog gear and I am having to work with more clients remotely and over time, it makes more sense to work digitally. I can save mixes, and pull them back up quickly and easily.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mostly work on Pop, Indie Pop, Country, and Folk/Americana. I grew up listening to bands in these genres so I feel like I have ingrained this musical landscape inside of me. Its the music I love to listen to and so its the music I love to work on. Some artists that get referenced with my work are: Maggie Rogers HAIM MUNA Jason Isbell John Mayer
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is in a log cabin that was built in 1882. I have my desk in the middle of the room with multiple recording spaces spread around it. There is a loft above the back half of the room with couches and chairs for more of a chill-out space. I like to think you can hear the age in the wood and the walls when the sound hits them. Its a very inspirational space for creating and listening to music.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I've always been inspired by music that translates emotion. I think the easiest way for a song to be successful is to get people to have an emotional reaction to it, whatever that emotion may be. In this sense, a lot of my inspiration comes from writers like John Mayer, Jason Isbell, Sara Bareilles, Chris Stapleton, etc. As for production inspiration, I want the sounds to emulate the emotions of the song. Whether that is a warm analog synth, an acoustic guitar, or a huge drum sound, I want the listener to be able to feel the song through the sonic landscape.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't be afraid to be honest about your wants and needs for your project. In the end, you're the person who is going to be putting this out under your name and you need to feel good about that. I'm here to help your music in anyway that I can, so I want to hear your opinions so that we can move in the right direction.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I have worked with artists all the way from the songwriting process through to the mixing process, so I am capable of helping you every step of the way. However, I excel in production and mixing. For me, mixing is almost like the second chance at production. I can take the tracks that are sent to me and make some simple creative decisions to further enhance the impact of the song. I have an ear for what people will like, and that serves me well both in the production and mixing process.
