After growing up in North Carolina, I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2015 with a degree in Music Production and Engineering. Currently living in Nashville, Tennessee looking to take your song to the next level. I want to work with you closely on producing your song, or making a mix that your fans will love. Lets do this!
Need your song/album mixed?
As opposed to other mix engineers I like to work closely with the artist to give you a mix you want instead of just whatever the mix engineer thinks is good. In the end, YOU'RE the person that needs to love your song and I can help you get to the point where you love it and it sounds incredible.
I focus on a vocal central mix so the listener is able to follow the story you have taken so long to create. Building dynamic mixes that capture the listener both sonically and emotionally is the most important thing to me in my work. A person needs to feel the lyrics, the music, and the mix for a song to be successful.
Need your song to be produced?
As a producer, I love working with the songwriter on a finished, or partially finished song, to take it to its full potential. I have an ear for making small changes that will greatly enhance how other people hear the song. I mostly focus on Country and Folk but I have worked in many other genres.
I would love to meet with you on person or over skype! Writing has always been a passion of mine and I have collaborated with many people on songs I have gone on to produce and mix.

Solid producer with good musical instincts. Extremely thorough and oriented to deliver what the client wants. Even after I was happy with a mix, Jared was still identifying how to make it better. Very responsive to requests and comments. Strongly recommend!
Jared is great to work with! He is truly a nice guy and always professional. My song sounds great and I look forward to working with him again soon.
I've worked with Jared twice and am looking forward to working with him again. Total pro and delivers radio-ready mixes. Can't reccommend him enough!
It has been such a pleasure working with Jared. His mixes are full of energy and articulation. They are vocal driven and really relay the intent of the song. His turn around is quick, and he really puts your feedback to work in very relevant ways. I look forward to be working with him again and recommend him highly!
Jared is a really great person to work with! He is a very talented musician and producer. He is very positive, respectful, and listened to my ideas for what I wanted in my song, making it even better than I had imagined. Jared works quickly and is super-responsive. We worked remotely and it went very smoothly. I have just sent him my next song.
Jared has the ability to maintain a hard-working and focused atmosphere, while keeping the process relaxed and stress free. He takes into account the artist's needs, while maintaining his own vision; resulting in records that reach their full potential as a product that best represents the artist's identity.
I would definitely recommend Jared to anybody who wants to take their music to the next level and make a product that is authentic and competitive in today’s music industry. He really can take you there. He was able to satisfy every expectation I had, and in doing that he was always kind, patient, fully committed and respectful of my vision.
What sets Jared apart from any professional I've worked with is how conscientious he was of how I wanted my songs to sound. Every step of the way, he's positive, relaxed, invested, has such creative talent and instinct, and is a blast to work with. He transformed my music, and he's the person I would call up to work with again!
I started working with Jared fall of 2014, and since then we have joined to complete various different projects both together and between cities. As a producer, he understands the importance of artistry and aesthetic, ultimately producing with authenticity. Always keeping focus and taking notes, he not only fulfills the artist's vision, but more!
Over the years we have worked for each other as engineers, producers, mixers, and players. In any role, Jared is professional yet relaxed. As a producer he has a clear vision that he achieves by keeping a supportive and fun atmosphere. As a mixer he doesn't rest until the client is happy and he knows he has released the full potential of the song.
I've worked with Jared Anderson on many many projects. Honestly, it's been the best experience I've ever had with a producer/songwriter/engineer. He is patient, creative, and extremely hardworking. He always makes his clients so comfortable in a work situation. I feel that I was able to put out my best work when I was collaborating with Jared!
Interview with Jared Anderson
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I have worked with artists all the way from the songwriting process through to the mixing process, so I am capable of helping you every step of the way. However, I excel in production and mixing. For me, mixing is almost like the second chance at production. I can take the tracks that are sent to me and make some simple creative decisions to further enhance the impact of the song. I have an ear for what people will like, and that serves me well both in the production and mixing process.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I've always been inspired by music that translates emotion. I think the easiest way for a song to be successful is to get people to have an emotional reaction to it, whatever that emotion may be. In this sense, a lot of my inspiration comes from writers like John Mayer, Jason Isbell, Derek Trucks, Sara Bareilles, Chris Stapleton, etc. All of these people are able to capture natural human emotions and put them into their songwriting. My job as a producer or mix engineer is just not to get in the way of this emotion, and let it come through the song naturally.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Over the past couple years I have worked on mostly Country, Folk, and a bit of Rock. I love any good song no matter the genre, but what I'm drawn to is more organic music like folk and singer/songwriter. Modern Country is definitely fun to mix as well. I don't like saying I only work on one genre though, because I can find joy in any music.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Being completely selfish, I would love to work with John Mayer. I grew up listening to him, and his music has definitely shaped the way I hear and think about music. Another artist I would love to work with would be Tedeschi Trucks Band (or any band with Derek Trucks to be honest). Derek has such a unique way of writing and producing that I think it would just be incredible to be in the room for it. Also Chris Stapleton because, come on, he's just a badass.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't be afraid to be honest about your wants and needs for your project. In the end, you're the person who is going to be putting this out under your name and you need to feel good about that. I'm here to help your music in anyway that I can, so I want to hear your opinions so that we can move in the right direction.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Without a doubt the best part of my job is when I either play some song revisions, or play a mix for the first time, and the artist hears it and is so happy. Seeing the look on their face is so worth the work. Its a big deal for people to have their songs recorded and it should be special if its your first time or hundredth time.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I think realistically, digital is what is going on right now. But I definitely have an "analog" mindset. I believe in face to face interactions, musicians being in the room with other musicians, and more classic approaches to recording and production. So many things are done bit by bit nowadays, but if I can get a whole band in a room playing together, nothing is going to be able to sound like that sound captured in that moment. Overall, an "analog" way of working is much better than a "digital".
