Scott Gross on SoundBetter

Billboard charting songwriter working in metal and alternative hip-hop, with credits like From Autumn To Ashes and Lil Peep, accruing over 150 million plus streams. Offering mixing, songwriting, guitar loops and/or beat making, focusing on alternative hip hop, metal, and post-hardcore.

I'm a certified audio engineer, producer and songwriter, with twenty five plus years of studio and touring experience. I am looking to assist people in facets of the production spectrum including songwriting, mixing and production. I'm very familiar with the artist side of things, as I spent years touring nationally and internationally as guitarist and writer for New York based hardcore band, From Autumn To Ashes. I have released songs on both video games and major motion pictures, such as "ATV Offroad Fury 3" and "Freddy vs Jason". I have toured nationally and internationally with bands ranging all across the genre board such as Poison The Well, Finch, The Starting Line and Killswitch Engage, as well as participated in playing many festival circuits such as Warped Tour and Download Festivals. In 2016, the song "Nose Ring" was released by Lil Peep, containing the guitars sampled from the track "No Trivia" that I wrote and recorded on the From Autumn To Ashes album, "The Fiction We Live", furthering my reach and influence into the Hardcore/Emo driven genre of Alternative Hip-hop. I currently spend a lot of time at The Bombshelter Studio in Red Lion, PA working on new projects with bands and artists both local and remote. I love to track/mix/master bands and artists in metal and hip hop genres, as well as aid in the writing and production of material.

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Scott Gross is the man! Super creative, extremely easy to record with, he makes everything very comfortable. I’ve recorded multiple projects with him over several years & I would highly recommend his services.

You can tell that Scott truly cares about the music & that is so important. On top of being super professional, a master at his craft & a hell of a musician, he’s also cool to just talk to!

Scott Gross brings a rare combination of technical precision and genuine creative instinct to the studio. Most engineers can get a sound. Scott can hear the sound… the one the song actually needs.

Scott approaches every project like it is his own and took the time to understand what we were going for tonally. He pushed us toward performances and textures that served the record rather than his résumé.

Scott’s not the type to impose a sound on you, he’s the type to help you find yours, then make it better. High trust, high output, zero ego.

Working with Scott was an amazing experience from start to finish. He was professional, creative, and really understood the sound I was going for. Communication was easy throughout the entire process, and the turnaround time was fast without sacrificing quality.
The mix/master sounded clean, powerful, and polished, he paid attention to every detail. He was also open to feedback and made revisions quickly to make sure everything came out exactly right. I would highly recommend Scott to anyone looking for a talented and reliable sound engineer.
