I am a multi instrumentalist/producer/composer located in Koycegiz, Turkey. I have been performing, recording and teaching music for the last 20+ years, and have an honor degree in composition. I want to help you make your songs become the best version they can be.
I have been playing guitar for 20+ years and had thousands of gigs both in Turkey where I live at the moment, and in NYC in which I lived for about 7 years. In the last 4 years or so, I have been a full time producer and mixing engineer. I work from my studio in Koycegiz, Turkey, but have access to additional studios in Istanbul. I also have access to top quality session players.
Even though my main genre is modern metal, I have worked with people from all genres including all types of rock and metal, edm, electropunk, pop, synthwave, and acoustic based songs.
I work almost 100% in the box myself, but if the song needs outboard gear, there are studios that I go to.
Don’t hesitate to contact me with questions! Tell me about your project and let’s see what we can do. Be it just guitar recordings, vocal tuning, and so on, or full on production, scoring for orchestra, or mixing.
Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.
Interview with Atesh Tur | Atesh Electric
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: It is an acoustically treated room located in Koycegiz, Turkey. I have a 2018 Macbook Pro, and Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 as my two main pieces of recording equipment. I use a pair of Kali Audio LP-8s for monitoring, and Beyerdynamic DT770s as my main set of headphones. For instruments, I have a 2006 Fender Highway One (US made), and a Legator Ninja 7.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A 7 string guitar, a computer, an interface, a set of headphones, a cable :)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I am a self taught guitarist and a musician. I started playing guitar in 1997 (at the age of 11) and started performing in venues in Turkey when I was about 17 years old. I got a full scholarship to study Composition and Music Theory in college, and graduated with honors. In 2013 I moved to New York, and first worked as a session musician, and then formed my own electropunk duo called Dirty Heretics. In the meantime I started working on my own instrumental "guitar" album, and released it in September 2019. I moved back to Turkey in the beginning of 2020, and set up my own studio.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Modern Metal, Prog Metal, Djent
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Misha Mansoor, Adam "Nolly" Getgood, David Maxim Micic
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
