Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Having a clear idea of what you want is always good. If you don't know what you want, then it's hard for anyone to be able to make you happy.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: We were both in bands and solo artist ourselves growing up. And then we wanted to take what we learnt from being artists, and give others a better experience than what we had. We have now been operating together as MSquared for 10 years.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: When mixing, bus our the different elements into their own chain. So that you can manipulate things as a group, and create glue in your mix. For example, all your vocals in their own bus. All your drums in their own bus. All your instruments in their own bus. This is a great way to help things come together, but still add definition.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Simply, Pop. But that's a broad term. We've done Top40 sounding pop, Pop EDM, Pop Country. Basically songs that can translate to a broad range of listeners.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: We make sure that everything with our name on it has a world class sound. That when we're done with it, it's sounds ready to be in the charts.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: We have 4 production studios in Melbourne Australia. Using a wide variety of microphones, preamps, software plugins and instruments

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: We work mostly on creating complete sounds for artists. From writing to final mix. We get alongside an artist and help them find their sound, and then execute it so that it could stand up against the best songs in that genre.
