Having played in many different live and studio scenarios, I am confident in my ability to bring a song to life by way of feel, passion, and creativity. I play for the song and am proficient in many different styles/genres/feels.
I picked up the drums at the age of five and have been hooked since. I went to school for Jazz and Contemplative Studies at the University of Michigan, then moved to Chicago for five years before landing in LA.
I have a home studio filled with instruments and gear that I can get all different sounds from. I lean toward vintage drums because of the music that inspires me the most; soul, blues, funk, americana from the 60s and 70s.
My goal is to always put the song before my drums to ensure that my part in the arrangement merely elevates the overall sonic landscape. I am obsessed with feel and groove.

Endorse Josh TeitelbaumJosh’s feel and tone on the drum set is one of kind. I’ve never heard anyone so solidly play soul, blues, rock, pop, and jazz so fluently. He’s extremely professional and is an absolute pleasure to work with on stage and in the studio. He recently put together a Ray Charles Tribute concert and was the MD, drummer, and producer for the show. Simply one of the best!!
I have loved getting to work with Josh. He is one of my favorite drummers, and his feel is irreplaceable. He has a serious variety of drum kits/cymbals/percussion toys to choose from too. If you need some soul added to your tracks, this is your man!

I’ve worked with Josh for many years now. He brings tremendous technique, passion and feel to the rhythm section like no one else. He always has interesting and creative ideas on how to make a tune FEEL amazing. I highly recommend him as a drummer and producer.
