Let's make some music
I am an Australian producer currently living in Tokyo. I work for a publisher writing songs for major labels such as Sony Music, Warner Music Group, Avex Group and ghost producing for domestic and international artists.
I specialise in making songs that are original and unique for each artist that I work with. I make tracks that stand out and have that “expensive” sound that will grab people’s attention. Before we work together I like to have a face to face chat to find out who you are and exactly what you want to create! Whether you have an existing topline and chords or want me to create something from scratch I can turn your vision into reality.
PRODUCTION SEVICES:
Full production of an instrumental track.
MIXING SERVICES:
I will mix and master your songs whether they are fully recorded elsewhere or music we have collaborated on. I also offer vocal mixing, editing, alignment and tuning services to make your vocals shine. Beautifully mixed vocals completely change the production value of your track!
MASTERING SERVICE:
I will get your song in the correct format and correct loudness to match all streaming services and make sure it is not clipping. I will send you a copy of the track that has been put through the same process that streaming services use so that you will know exactly what your song will sound like before it gets uploaded!
Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.

Interview with Josh Lacoste
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is the purpose of making this song? Where do you fit in the global music space? How did your previous releases perform? What are your goals for this release and for your career?
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Finish all of your songs! Especially the bad ones! You don't have to release everything that you make. Most people have folders full of unfinished songs. So they get good at starting songs but don't get much practice at finishing them. A lot of important things happen at the end of the process. So keep going through the whole process of starting and finishing until good songs start coming out.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronic dance music and pop music
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Genelec 8030CP monitors, RME UFX interface, WA76 Compressor, WA27 Pre-amp, Ableton Push, Waves collection and FabFilter Pro plugins.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Listening to Rick Ruben talk about flow and artistry inspires me
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Writing and producing original songs mainly for pop singers and pop groups
