EYLA on SoundBetter

Toplines Ad-hoc :)

Amanda Eyla (known as EYLA) is a London-born singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ who was raised in Spain.
Her musical journey began at the age of fourteen when she started composing and producing music on her computer.
By seventeen, EYLA had already signed her first publishing deal with Sony Music after achieving a number one hit on Los 40 Principales with Carlos Jean. This success led to a performance on the popular TV show "El Hormiguero" alongside Justin Bieber.

Seeing the success achieved with just one song, she decided to take a step forward attending several production and DJ technique courses developing her skills as a songwriter and creating repertoire for spanish artists and major brand campaigns, including Google and Danone.

EYLA toured several countries, performing a co-written song that currently has over thirty million streams and her DJing and singing skills led her to visit to visit countries such as Morocco, France, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Monaco, Spain, and the UK.

While juggling her career as a performer, EYLA excelled academically, graduating with honors in Music Business from SAE Institute.
With a hyperactive and restless mind in the field of technology, she later discovered her passion for cybersecurity engineering.

Currently, EYLA is preparing for her debut as a solo artist.

Very easy to work with. Understands and follows instructions very well. Genuinely cares about the final product. Works hard till it's perfect. Provided a perfect voice production even though it was outside her comfort zone.

One of the most talented multi-lingual vocalists I've worked with. I've worked with quite a few different vocalists and I couldn't recommend her more. Very sweet, easy to work with, and has an unparalleled grasp of harmony.

Interview with EYLA

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I'm especially proud of the projects where I’ve had the opportunity to work on songs that reached number 1 on the radio in Spain. Having multiple tracks hit the top spot was an incredible experience, and it’s a testament to the hard work and dedication I put into every project. Additionally, I've been involved in several television projects, creating music that sets the tone for shows and brings a unique atmosphere to the screen. In both cases, I played a key role in writing, composing, and producing, making sure the final product not only met the expectations of the artists and producers but also resonated with a wide audience.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: At the moment, I'm working on multiple projects for clients, developing songs and productions across various genres. I’m also focusing on developing artists, helping them craft their unique sound and vision. On top of that, I’m working on my first album as an artist, which is an exciting personal project where I get to explore my creative side and experiment with new sounds.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: There are so many talented professionals on SoundBetter that it's hard to pick just one. The platform is full of skilled artists, producers, and engineers who specialize in various genres and styles. I always encourage my clients to explore the profiles and find someone whose work resonates with their vision. You’ll definitely find someone who can bring something unique and high-quality to your project!

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: I appreciate both analog and digital tools, as each has its own strengths. Analog gear, with its warmth and unique character, can add depth and richness to a track, especially when it comes to mixing or recording vocals and instruments. On the other hand, digital tools offer precision, flexibility, and ease of use, which is why I love using them for editing, arranging, and producing complex sounds. Ultimately, I believe in combining the best of both worlds to achieve the perfect balance of warmth and clarity in a song

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise to my clients is to always deliver high-quality music that aligns with their vision, whether it’s through lyrics, melody, or production. I’m committed to providing a fast turnaround while ensuring every track is carefully crafted and polished. I will be responsive to your needs and feedback, making sure we’re always on the same page throughout the process. My goal is to not only meet but exceed your expectations, creating something that truly resonates with you and your audience.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: What I love most about my job is the creative freedom it gives me to explore new ideas and bring them to life. Every project is unique, and I get to work on a variety of genres and styles, which keeps things fresh and exciting. There's something incredibly rewarding about taking an idea from concept to finished track and seeing how it resonates with the client. It’s also amazing to be part of the creative process, collaborating with artists and helping them shape their vision into something they can be proud of.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Some of the most common questions I get from customers are: How long will it take to finish the track? My answer: I always ask for the deadline first, and then work out a timeline based on the project’s complexity. I offer fast turnaround but ensure that quality is never compromised. What do you need from me to start? My answer: To get started, I usually need a sense of your vision, genre preference, and any reference tracks or inspiration you have. The more details you provide, the better I can tailor the music to your needs. Can you work on a song I’ve already started? My answer: Absolutely! I can help take your idea further, whether that’s refining melodies, improving lyrics, or finishing the production. I love collaborating to bring out the best in existing material. Do you offer revisions? My answer: Yes, I offer revisions based on your feedback. My goal is to make sure you're fully satisfied with the final product, so we’ll keep refining until it’s perfect for you.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: The biggest misconception about what I do is that songwriting and music production are quick and easy processes. Many people assume that creating a great song can be done in a single sitting or without much effort. In reality, it requires a lot of time, attention to detail, and collaboration. Crafting a song that connects with listeners takes patience, creative exploration, and a deep understanding of both the emotional and technical aspects of music.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: When working with prospective clients, I usually ask: What is your vision for the project? - Understanding the overall direction helps me tailor the music to fit the mood and message you're trying to convey. Do you have a specific deadline or timeline? - This helps me ensure we stay on track and deliver everything on time. What genre or style are you aiming for? - Knowing the sound you're going for allows me to focus on the right elements and style. Are there any reference tracks or artists you’re inspired by? - This gives me a sense of the kind of vibe you're after. What’s your preferred level of involvement? - Some clients like to collaborate closely, while others prefer to give me more creative freedom.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: My advice for a customer looking to hire a provider like me is to clearly communicate your vision from the start. Share your ideas, references, and expectations so we can be on the same page and create something truly unique. Don’t be afraid to give feedback along the way, as collaboration is key. I’m here to bring your ideas to life, so trust the process and be open to experimenting with different sounds and approaches. I’m committed to delivering the best possible result and making sure you’re fully satisfied with the final track.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: If I were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, I would choose: Laptop with music software (to keep creating, of course). Slate Digital interface (for high-quality sound recording and mixing). Headphones (a good pair for detailed listening and mixing). Portable MIDI controller (to keep working on melodies and ideas). A microphone (for recording vocals, ideas, and anything that comes to mind).

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: ’ve been composing songs since I was 13 years old, and my passion for music has only grown over the years. At 17, I had my first radio hit, which was a turning point in my career and gave me the confidence to pursue music professionally. Since then, I’ve been constantly evolving as a songwriter, producer, and artist, working across various genres and collaborating with talented musicians. I’ve been in the industry for several years now, and I’m always looking for new ways to innovate and connect with listeners.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: My style is a blend of modern electronic with a touch of emotional depth. I enjoy experimenting with innovative soundscapes, incorporating elements from different genres while maintaining a strong focus on melody and lyricism. Whether it’s a driving beat or a softer, atmospheric vibe, I aim to create music that resonates deeply with the listener while staying fresh and relevant to current trends

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I would love to work with Billie Eilish and Finneas. Their approach to music is so unique, blending minimalism with deep emotional layers. I admire how they create such an intimate atmosphere while maintaining a mainstream appeal. I believe my skills could complement their sound, and together, we could push the boundaries of what’s possible in music, exploring new textures and innovative ideas

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: One important production tip I always follow is to focus on the balance between elements in a track. It's easy to get caught up in adding more layers or effects, but sometimes less is more. Make sure the vocals, bass, and kick drum are at the forefront and everything else serves the song’s core. This ensures clarity and lets the track breathe, making it more dynamic.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: usually work in the electronic music genre, but I genuinely love exploring all kinds of music. Whether it's pop, indie, or alternative, I enjoy the creative challenge of adapting to different styles and making each project unique. My passion for music transcends genres, and I always bring fresh ideas to whatever style I’m working on.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is my ability to adapt to the client's needs, thanks to my experience as a 360 artist. I can handle everything from lyrics and melody to production, which allows me to offer a comprehensive approach to each project. This versatility ensures that I can provide exactly what the client is looking for, whether it’s a specific style, sound, or creative direction. I take pride in being able to bring their vision to life in the best possible way

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring versatility and creativity to every song I work on. I'm able to adapt to different genres and always stay up-to-date with the latest trends, ensuring the music feels relevant. At the same time, I strive to add an innovative vision, incorporating fresh ideas that make the track stand out. My goal is to blend modern influences with unique elements to create something memorable and impactful

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: My typical work process starts with clear communication. I always ask my clients about their deadline, their vision for the project, and how they want the song to feel or be structured. Once I have a sense of their direction, I provide a fast turnaround, typically offering a rough demo or presenting different melody options. From there, we collaborate and refine the track based on their feedback. Once we’re aligned, I proceed to create the final version, ensuring that every detail matches the client’s expectations and vision

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: My studio setup is built to deliver high-quality sound and precise mixing. I work with high-end monitors to ensure accurate sound representation, paired with a Slate Digital interface with preamps that help capture every detail in the recording process. I also use professional-grade headphones for detailed listening, allowing me to fine-tune every element of the track. This setup allows me to create clear, polished productions and ensure the final mix translates well across all listening environments.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I’m deeply inspired by female producers like Linda Perry, who has crafted iconic hits for artists like Christina Aguilera and Pink, and Grimes, whose innovative approach blends production and artistry seamlessly. I'm also a big fan of Tove Lo, known for her bold and emotive writing style, as well as Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, who are revolutionizing modern pop with their minimalistic, atmospheric soundscapes. On the songwriting side, Diane Warren continues to inspire with her timeless ballads, while Max Martin remains a pop legend behind hits for artists like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and The Weeknd. Additionally, I'm inspired by the fresh, unique sound of producers like Jack Antonoff, who has worked with Lorde, Lana Del Rey, and Taylor Swift, and Olivia Rodrigo, who, with the help of producer Dan Nigro, has defined a new wave of emotionally charged pop hits.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I specialize in creating full songs from start to finish, whether it's writing compelling lyrics, crafting memorable melodies, composing unique arrangements, or producing high-quality tracks. Many clients come to me for a combination of all these services, but I'm equally comfortable handling individual aspects of the process, like developing a hook or polishing a production to industry standards
