Interview with zcottie
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What inspires them? What kind of sound they are looking for? How can I make this smooth as possible for you?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Let us have a conversation, I want to get to know what inspires you, what mood were you in when creating the piece of work. Want to understand what you are looking for which for me it is not so simple because as artist haha we are complicated and I understand that.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: hahaha First I would not take anything and enjoy the vacation. Probably a couple of notebooks and pens.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: As any musician, producer, and artist could agree that first and most we want a life where we get to do what we love every day. This means being able to not be limited creatively, as an artist this hurts our soul, ego. I've been lucky enough to be able to live by my music for about 3 years, even if it is not in luxury but still living the dream. Been making Instrumentals/beats for 15 years and professionally working with artist for about 6 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: A simple way to put it, Make the Vocalist shine!. As a producer, I should not get in the way of the vocalist but rather support and help the vocals with arrangements, sounds, and moments.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: There is plenty of artists I would really enjoy working with, first one to mind would be J Balvin. Working with him would give me an insight into what it takes to be an artist on a global scale. Also knowing all the process it takes for a song to release with an artist at that caliber, it would be just an overall a great learning experience.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When recording makes sure your meter is below 10dbs to have a great clean recording.

A: Reggaeton, Hiphop, Trap, Pop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Music Production. Instrumental creation.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Bring years of experience, creativity, work ethic with excellence to make the listener love the sound they hear.
