A Grammy Nominated Musician, Producer and Engineer based out of one of the best studios in the country, Echo Mountain Recording. With an endless amount of recording tools and musicians at my disposal, I will work with you to take your vision and bring it to the next level, with it's mixing, producing or musical session work. Let's do this.
At a young age I was drawn to playing music. It’s given me a lifetime of experiences, with musicians of many levels of esteem and talent. You can learn all about it at my website www.joshblakemusic.com
I have played in many projects. I’ve also produced music for lot’s of rappers and vocalists. I was nominated fro a Grammy recently for my work with a Marcus King and Lettuce collaboration, voted as one of the area’s “best engineers and producers” in a local poll, and have won “Best Soundtrack” for a song I created at an event that had over 80 entries.
I still gig several times a week, and toured nationally for a dozen years, so I bring a real “working musicians” mentality to all my studio work. If you are a working musician, you are my peoples!
I am also the producer and audio engineer for a program my company (iamavl.com) created called Echo Sessions. I have produced and recorded over 100 bands for these live “in studio” sessions, which are syndicated for rebroadcast on PBS.
I have created music for film, TV, and many musical acts. Need help arranging to writing your songs? Need some music for your commercial of film? Need and original track for your horse dancing routine? Need to record your band? I got your back. Check my website for a list of artists I have worked with. Click on an artist name and take a listen, holler at me and let’s get to work!

Josh is great. He has an incredible amount of patience and simply gives his all to get the maximum out of every song.

Maaaaaaan, let me tell you. This man, Josh, is a saint. I’m not an easy guy to please and I’m usually to blazed to spell my own name but Josh not only nailed the mix but he was patient, helpful and willing to experiment. He’s also willing to make suggestions but won’t get combative if it’s not the direction you wanna go. He’s got the easy goin’ friendly disposition of a black lab but completely professional and on top of his game. Highly recommend!

Josh did an incredible job of listening to my wants and needs and is willing to do what it takes to get you the product you want—nonetheless in an extremely timely manner. Not only a great engineer but a stellar guy to communicate and work with as well. I’m also particularly fond of the work he did on vocals—some of the best I’ve heard from the engineers I’ve worked with. If you’re looking for someone relatively affordable and extremely nice to work with, I recommend Josh!
