Heya, thanks for stopping by!
My name is Fayth and i'm a full time writing/recording artist. I have been writing exclusively for personal projects or close contacts in the past but am now looking to connect and build relationships with new artists. I am looking for artists who love to create art and tell stories that mean something. I am happy to write to a track, or we can start from the ground up. My specialties are pop, folk and ballads. Feel free to request references and I'll provide a compilation of published song links I have written/cowritten. If you are looking to create an album or EP we can definitely chat about a reduced rate. Please reach out if you feel we are the right fit! I'm always open to chat about price, package, or your specific project needs. Let's get to work!

Interview with Fayth
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Any and all Future Friend projects! I co-write pretty much every single song and take so much pride in the outcomes! Look it up, I think you're gonna love em!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Only the project of your hopes and dreams... But for real, a pop EP, a dark pop ballad, and an acoustic singer songwriter project!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I'm the new kid in school
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I don't have a preference tbh
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: You're gonna love it....seriously, you will. I'm not going to stop till you do! I'm an excellent listener and in order for me to be satisfied with my work, you need to be.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Ahhhhhh I LOVE music and storytelling! Communicating with artists and their fans in a way that words fail to do will never cease to blow my mind! I love working from nothing to everything!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Q. 'What comes first, the melody or the lyrics?' A. 'Normally the melody for me, but it truly depends!'
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That songwriting is easy! It's NOT! It takes tons of practice, trial and error! It's an underappreciated trade that truly makes the music world spin!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: To write you a song you're going to love and that will fit your vibe and genre I need to understand your goals! Are you looking for a hard hitting bop? A cry your eyes out break up song? (love these!) A smooth ballad? I'll need to know all about your visions, hopes and dreams! I also will need to know timelines, male/female vocalist, and any specific requests!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Three things! 1. Make sure your producer/writer is willing to provide value before you pay a dime 2. Make sure you and your writers style and creative process are compatible 3. Speak your mind! (kindly)
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I'll be honest...I'm not a gear guru. Just give me my keys and a cellphone and i'll come up with something!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I was raised in a Bluegrass band from the age of 8 and wrote my first (terrible) song at 12 years old! ! I've evolved quite a lot since then, but the fundamentals still ring true! Write catchy, one of a kind lyrics with killer tunes! I currently am involved with multiple recording artists and write for my own pop group. I do it because I absolutely love it and love to invest in other artists!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Emotional Pop. Melodies and catchy tunes that don't sacrifice meaning and talk about real like issues and get nitty gritty.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I LOVE working with artists who have a vision and are looking to really create something unique.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: My personal favorite is to record vocals up super close to the mic to capture every breathe and speck of feeling in the delivery!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Sad pop! I love creating an up close, devastatingly real pop song. I have TONS of experience in this field and thrive on these projects!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Meaningful, catchy lyrics! Oftentimes we sacrifice one for the other and it doesn't need to be that way!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Emotion without sacrificing melody! I love keeping it real and carefully choosing words, phrasing, key, and specific note patterns. I personally love a little sad girl music and thrive in that wheelhouse!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It's all about you! I love to get to know you, and truly understand the heart of your project. Once I have a good understanding of your goals and ideas, I will start in on demos. Normally I will send 1 or 2 different options and see what is speaking to you. (I will consider doing this for free if requested) Once we have locked in the vibe and direction we complete your song!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have access to a full, professionally equipped home studio.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I worship Jon Bellion and his creative process! More favorites are Ryan Teddar, Julia Michaels and Lorde.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Songwriting! Especially dark, sad pop! Lyrics and storytelling are my forte!
