I can provide; Songwriting and lyrics. Anything from a little bit of inspiration to a fully formed acoustic demo. I have access to a professional music studio should it be required Vocal sessions: I can provide fully mixed vocals, professionally recorded for your track.
My name is Tim Brooks, I'm a singer songwriter, vocalist and lyricist based in Richmond, SW London.
Throughout the last 4 years, I have built myself up to the point where I am now playing internationally, both in Europe and in the USA. I am now putting myself forward to working with you.
I am working with a new music pitching startup company based just outside of London as a songwriter/lyricist. Through this, I have full access to a recording studio and rehearsal space, as well as a dedicated team with links to publishing and sync opportunities.
I also offer vocal tracking, with my voice described as having the power of Chris Cornell, and the rasp of Axl Rose.
Most recently, I was involved with performing country music vocals for a project for the National Film & Television School in Beaconsfield (as well as a small role in acoustic guitar composition).
Why should you work with me? I'm dedicated, hard-working, business minded, friendly, budget conscious, well connected and professional. More than anything though, I understand things from a musician's perspective.

A: Creativty

A: Guitar Pen Paper Laptop Mic
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: As a solo artist, 5 years. I've gone from the open mic nights of Hertfordshire to playing all around Europe and the US. As a songwriter and vocalist, about 18 months. I am now starting to focus on the latter.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Quirky, fun, different, poetic.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Country/singersongwriters/folk

Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Lyrical smarts, vocal power, storytelling, flair, references.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: If I'm writing a song for someone, I will ask for a number of cues, for example a brief on the way the song makes them feel, any artists that they are inspired by, as well as what their intentions are for the track. I will then draft a set of lyrics and submit, as well as a basic acoustic melody from my laptop. If this is all that's required, I will send a lyrics sheet and guitar chords over. If a professional recording is required, I will confirm everything that is needed for the demo, and record a fully mixed version. Any additions can be made at a further cost if required. For vocal tracking, I do a similar process with sending a scratch demo from my laptop just to check vocal pitching, tone, accent etc are correct and I record and mix at the studio when ready.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: The majority of my professional work takes place at The Practice Roomz in Stevenage, where the manager also runs a music management company (of whom I am a part of). This is a full studio setup with top of the range equipment (see https://www.thepracticeroomz.info/recording for more details)
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Bruce Springsteen and Brian Fallon inspire everything that I do. I love their aesthetic and how their honesty just bleeds into their music.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common work at the moment is vocal tracking, although I have co-written on a number of previous occasions, and have been a standalone solo artist for the past 5 years.
