Producer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and owner of Behind the Curtains Media, Michael Abiuso (known for his work with Cyndi Lauper) utilizes a hybrid blend of digital and analog recording and mixing techniques to take advantage of the speed and versatility of the modern digital world but also the warmth and color of analog gear.

Multi-instrumentalist producer & composer Michael Abiuso owns Behind the Curtains Media which he launched in 2012 in the back of a dirty tour van. The Brooklyn based company has expanded in both size & services to become one of the leading music promotion & audio production firms in the greater NYC area.

Built on a solid foundation of endless industry professional relationships spawned from honesty & hard work, Michael's primary focus is providing unique audio services for both musicians & companies of all sizes.

For musicians, these services include producing, songwriting, performing, coaching or maybe just telling a couple of jokes. For businesses, those services may including sound design, foley, scoring to picture (commercial, film, video game), podcasting or just editing. All services are packaged with mixing, mastering and topped off with a big smile.

Michael has a degree in music ed. & can perform & record a wide variety of instruments. This sets his productions & scoring apart from a nerd with a cool sample library. He studied classical & jazz guitar, music theory, composition/arranging & audio engineering & has 10+ years of touring experience under his belt.
