Sherridan Harris a.k.a. Sherdizzil is a 27 year old rapper, singer-songwriter and producer - “Michigan Made, Tennessee Raised.” After 10 years of Nashville residency, the artist returned to Kalamazoo in 2016, networking and collaborating with countless artists in the city, at Fire Historical and Cultural Arts Collaborative. In 2017, Ed Genesis (Poetic Justice) and Jesselyn Leach (Kalamazoo Artist Collective) encouraged Sherdizzil to travel down the artist/activist route, participating at multiple peace rallies & speaking at Capital Day about the "School to Prison pipeline.” In the summer of 2018, Harris began working extensively with newly established label - Last Gasp Music, from writing the song “Gold” on the WYCE Award Nominated Album “Pigment Of My Imagination” by Venezia Jones along with writing & vocal credits on the album “1302” by Jay Jackson & Jessica Ivey. Sherdizzil is the lead writer of 2019 releases “Senful” by Courtney Moore & “Seen Not Heard.” by Last Gasp Collective. At the end of the decade, the “Smokey Robinson” of the LGC released his own debut project "I'm Listening..." through the label. The 4 song EP boasts notable features from Wundamike, Paper Treal, Dolla D, Destine Price, & Jay Jackson; touching on various topics from racism to gang violence to self confidence all done in a way that truly showcases why this particular artist is worth giving a listen.
