Interview with Henrik Kristiansen(henrikz)

Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Its different almost all the time. But i typically start with chords and melodies and then i build the track around that, with drums, fx's, structure and sound design.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Im just producing new songs all the time, i think i have 10-15 release ready songs, for my own project. Im currently working on a song with a guy called Denis Kalytovskyi, hes a pretty big cover YouTuber with over 50.000 subscribers.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The creative process and to the ability, to make something sound better, i just love it.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: There is not stupid questions.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: For the radio kind of music, i would describe it as Pop blended with Deep House and Tropical House. If i should name the genre i typically make, i would call it Tropical Pop Vocal House-thing-ish.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Probaly NOAH, he just has such an unique voice and hes also from Denmark.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Try and pan drums, instruments and vocals. It will just give something bigger. Do not pan the LEAD VOCAL, SUBBASS or KICK.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I love making pop music, where i like the put sounds from Deep House, Tropical House and other genres in to. I also like to produce hard EDM club songs.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a modern approach, both with digital synthesizers and real instruments. I like putting things in my productions that is easily recognizable, and sets the vibe for the whole song idea.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a strong upgraded windows computer with a i5 9th gen processor and 16 gb of the strongest rams. I have my studio monitors called Yamaha HS7 and Audiotechnica ATH-m50x headphones.
