Interview with Joseph Robinson
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: 1. Guitar 2. Piano 3. Inferface 4. Macbook 5. Microphone
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I am next year going to school for MIA at fanshaw college. And so I hope to pursue anything in the music industry! I have been working on my music since I was around 10.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to work with Lykke li. She has such a unique voice and her work is amazing!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Drink lots of coffee or tea... anything that has LOTS of caffeine lol. Bc you already know once you start its gonna be 5am when you stop 😭.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, rock, r&b, soul, funk, musical theater
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Being a vocalist.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Emotion and energy. I make my self believe the words I'm singing and tend to make the listener feel it!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Warm up for 10 minutes and have my throat coat tea before singing. NO food for 4 hours before singing... and I don't have dairy anyway! I will sing until the customer is 100% satisfied. If you would like something else from me... NO CHARGE. I will give you the service you deserve!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use my WA 47 condenser microphone, Scarlett Focusright 2i2, macbook pro 2016, Logic pro x. To record vocals... my production gear is a whole other story ;)
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Avril lavigne, Daniel Caesar, billie eilish, bruce springsteen, coldplay, ed sheeran.

A: Harmonies. Sing full length songs. BG vocals
