Park Chapel Studios

Recording and Mix Studio

Park Chapel Studios on SoundBetter

Landmark recording studio in the heart of Crouch End, North London steeped in history and character with a large, daylit live room and a world of modern and vintage equipment.

With a stellar range of modern and vintage gear, we are dedicated to bringing our flair and a quarter-century experience to recording and mixing.

Nestled in a mid-Victorian church, our studio is soaked in art and social history. Beginning life in 1855 as Park Chapel, it has been home to a school, a library, a social centre and artist studios. At the turn of the 1980s, the space was rented out by Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, who proceeded to record "Sweet Dreams" in the building. After the song's success, Stewart bought much of the building and developed various studios.

In 1996, while signed to Stewart's publishing company Anxious Music, Ricky Barber first set foot in the part of the complex that he later took over and named The Crypt Studio. Thirty years later, as a gesture to the building's storied past, Ricky's studio reopened as Park Chapel Studios - an arm of Park Chapel Group, which also contains a production arm (Park Chapel Audio), and a commercial music library (Park Chapel Music).

Our stunning Studio One has hosted countless top artists over the last decades. While still retaining the soul and character of the original space, it has developed into one of North London's landmark modern recording studios - built around an SSL Origin console and home to a choice collection of classic and eccentric gear.

Park Chapel is also an in-demand location for filming.
