Production/Mixing/Mastering

Looking for someone to produce your track? Or just needing it to be mixed or mastered. Hit me up and lets get talking and create the track YOU dream of!

I am able to produce a song from scratch and record instruments where necessary.
I am also able to track guitars on an album/EP/single, Program bass and program drums.
Any tracks that need editing whether it be guitars or vocals I am able to do that.
I am able to mix and master a song for you and will not stop until you are 100% happy with the final product.
Production and mixing for the songs will include the creation of backing tracks and click tracks to be used in a live setting (if required).

I have played guitar for 10+ years and have been working in audio for 1 year and have had to work on it around a full time job.

I have 1 track that has been produced and mixed by me on spotify and currently working on 2 more singles for clients and mastering an EP for a client.

Interview with Onyx Studios

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My work on the song Void by Mex is my best work that has been properly released. Artist had the chords and lyrics, I worked with that and produced the song from scratch and helped bring the best out of the vocals! Definitely my best work.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am currently working on an RnB song, A melodic dubstep song, A metalcore song, and will be mastering a Hardcore style EP.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Analog. Definitely has a much warmer, saturated sound, Especially when it comes to guitar amps. Digital has come a long way and the convenience of it is better than analog, But can never beat the analog sound!

  7. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  8. A: Monitors, Axe Fx II XL, Guitar, midi keyboard, Mic

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: Really focus on learning what frequencies ranges are best and worst for each element. and Never give up!

  11. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  12. A: Electronic music is what I have worked on the most. I have produced and mixed songs in this style. I have mixed songs in Rock and Metal and looking at producing in the next few weeks.

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: Mixing Drums, Guitars and Bass.

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: What I bring is ideas and a way to turn the idea into a song. I like to experiment with sounds and design the sound I hear in my head. I will always work on a song till the end as listening to a song I produced out there is worth so much.

  17. Q: What's your typical work process?

  18. A: When I start I like to get references for what you want the song to roughly turn out like and to bring ideas. For Pre Production, I like to try and map out the basic structure first and will try what works best for east section. Once the structure is mapped, Then will work on each section to make sure it is the best it can be. Once Pre Production is done, will track live instruments (if required) perfectly and and record all vocals necessary perfectly and any harmonies that are required. Once Tracking has taken place, Then I will edit and Mix. I will usually externally Master.

  19. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  20. A: I have a basic and budget friendly home studio setup. I am currently using a Focusrite 18i20 interface (hoping to upgrade to an Apollo setup this year!) and I use Cubase. For recording guitars I use a POD HD PRO X digital amp and for the meantime using a Behringer DI800 for the DI. I have recently gotten a DBX 166xs Compressor for use when recording vocals. My mic is an Audio Technica at2020 (Looking to upgrade to an SM7b).

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: When it comes to writing, It really depends on the style. I have bands I will listen to and really get driven to write a song when listening to them. For production, I try to get to the level of detail as professional as possible. I aspire to own a studio like Deadmau5 or Will putney!

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: Most of my work has been producing and mixing songs for clients.

Terms Of Service

No real limit on revision but if they start becoming very tedious and dragging the song finish out then there could be an extra charge for that.
