I am “NotStrictly”, involvement in a competition 2016 opened doors for my current catalogue. “Catchy” is a compliment from “SamJam” and it’s true that my stories give identity to the record. NotStrictly means that there is no genre that I can say is my type but just music. Your story has a story... Imagine one more time and send me a text.
I’m in my early manhood life which comes with responsibilities, etc. Born in Harare and now based in Plettenberg Bay for the past 12 years. My mission with music is to distribute therapy rather than a product. We way fast these days so we don’t accept that we emotional most of the time but you can tell by the number one hit songs each year.
I’m most definitely good with soulful and it give me chills and to wipe my tears from the inside out to the mic. Instead of teaching I let them celebrate. I put knowledge on hyper mode with conscious words just to keep a question open.
I think it’s not the talent but a spirit love that defines lyrics and notes and rhythm for me. Sometimes I sing when I’m not supposed to, rap because I want to or even talk just to keep the beat calm.
