Since 1999, Dave Holmes has been a dynamic force in the music and audio production industry. Hailing from New Zealand and based in London for the last 13 years, Dave's expertise spans producing, recording, mixing, writing, and performing. His work covers a vast range of genres, from recording work with jazz icons like Alfa Mist, Nubya Garcia, Maisha, Johanna Burnheart and Gary Bartz, to projects with artists such as Steam Down, Jakob, Saint Agnes, Mike Skinner, Basement Jaxx, Blue Stragglers, Ghostpoet, Johnny Flynn, Kojey Radical and Kerretta. Known for his technical proficiency and innovative "kiwi ingenuity," Dave ensures every record is marked by originality and meticulous attention to detail.

Further enhancing his professional footprint beyond the flagship Lightship Studio 1, Dave established a state-of-the-art mix room in the Bow of Lightship 95 with his longtime friend and business partner, Giles Barrett. Located in the heart of South-east London’s vibrant music scene, this venture places him at the forefront of audio innovation. Dave’s dedication to sound excellence continues to attract a diverse clientele, including rising talents and established names like The Rattlebacks, The Sunflower Thieves, Rosie Turton, Oscar Jerome and the Levitation Orchestra.
