Let me help you with mixing and mastering! I want to make you happy with the end result each time. Let's discuss your project - send me a message.
I'm here to help you with audio engineering (mixing and mastering). I've been producing music all my life and learned engineering at Pop-Jazz Conservatory as well as with a few Finnish top engineers with international success. I operate most with rap, trap, r&b and pop artists as well as my rock band SAKIA. I have a home studio and a spot at the amazing Jiffel Studios.

Endorse Timo TaivaskeroInterview with Timo Taivaskero
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: This is a tough one but maybe someone could regard me as a rock musician because of my band history.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your voice and what do you want to achieve with it? Which of the existing artists is closest to what you want to be? Where do you want to be in a year or two? Who will listen to your music and why?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Choose the one you relate to the most, not the cheapest. How you feel in the process is more valuable that saving 50$.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Neumann 47 mic, UAD Apollo, MacBook Pro, FabFilter Bundle, NI Komplete Ultimate.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've produced music and sounds since I was a child. I started seriously writing music in college and instantly formed a band. Later it evolved to having a larger role (lyrics, composition, pre-production) in SAKIA. 5 years ago I started doing music everyday and learning pop music production, mixing and mastering.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Clarification. Taste. Groove. Emotion. Also, I try to keep my eye on the melody delivering the message. If its a mix, I try to enhance what's already great in the mix and make it compete in the hands of a A&R or listener. If it's a master, I take it to the competitive radio-ready level.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have access to well-equipped hardware studio and on productions I mostly work in the box with UAD/Ableton/Pro Tools. I have a home studio as well.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: SZA, Beyonce, Drake, Kanye, Post Malone, Bon Iver, Coldplay, Muse among many others in various genres.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I write and produce a song for a 20-35yo artist or I work with them to take their track to the next level.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creativity and lossless working processes.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: SAKIAs Parallel Universe. I wrote that song and wrote the lyrics too. It did good enough for our bands purposes.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: There is this amazing Finnish female artist who I'm writing and producing a song with. It's one of those that feel like a hit before publishing.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mainstream R&B, Pop, rap, trap, pop-rock.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I'm new here so I have to look around more.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital as long as I'm not a millionaire. All those classic units like Pultecs, Lexicons and SSLs have been modeled so accurately that I don't mind saving the money and nature from getting all those pieces to myself.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I do everything humanly possible to deliver what we agreed at my highest possible standard.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It's music. What's is not to love about that.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How much does it cost? -Depends of the project. Let's narrow the scope down. Can you give me your opinion about this demo. -Sure! Can we cowrite this song and finish it. -We sure can.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I aim for melancholic atmosphere combined with power or drama which results in energising/inspiring end result.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: SZA because of her amazing voice. Would also be happy to work with Black Sabbath since that's where my music thing started.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Aim for originality. That's pretty much the added value you possess.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Depending on whether it's composition, production, mixing or mastering. I try to do those phases separately but sometimes I'll create a beat (production) that doesn't have a prepaid composition from scratch.
