Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What style of vocals would you think would fit your song best? Do you have any references?
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on a new single with my band Vahakn (all songs available to stream on spotify) working on an acoustic rock cover album and doing session vocals for clients mostly looking for a hard rock or heavy metal sound!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Well in this day and age of sharing files and infinite plugins I'd have to go with digital. I've always wanted to record something analog though!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Listen to what the songs needs instead of just trying to increase the level a.k.a volume of your part on the song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Get the instrumental from the client. Talk about the subject matter of the song. Write the lyrics (If needed). Write vocal melody(If needed). Record vocal lines. Mix the vocals with the backing track. Send isolated vocal files to the client.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use a Shure SM7B Mic hooked up to a focusrite itrack solo sound card. I use cubase to record and mix my vocals.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The last single of my band Vahakn. I was the vocalist and lyricist on "My Release" I felt that the song was as heavy as possible but was also able to calmly convey the message we meant to put out be it lyrically vocally and stylistically.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise a wide and open communication space, fast service and very friendly yet professional work environment. The song always comes first and hopefully we will walk out of this session thinking "wow this song kick ass!"
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The fact that I get to connect with various musicians on various project and never have to do the same thing again twice.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: They commonly as what do you think this song should sound like vocally? I always answer with I'll send you demos until it's exactly how you pictured it.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Do you have an instrumental ready and set? Will you be working with an external producer on this?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: If you don't know what the song requires vocally we can hash that out together. If you do then give me very specific instructions as to what exactly you want to hear from the vocals.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Mic. Mic stand. Sound card. Laptop. Acoustic guitar.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been doing this for over 9 years. I completed the kent tamplin vocal academy program which allowed me to sing various styles. I've been in cover bands and have also released original music with the help of many other musicians.

A: Heavy but I can dial it down if the that's what the song is trying to express.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Johnathan Davis. Not only is he a world class vocalist and lyricist he also knows how to produce amazing sounds in the stucio that add so much value to the song.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock. Hardrock. Heavy metal.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Wide vocal range. From Clean mid highs to guttural lows I can do it all!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I've been told that my lyrics are always on point when it comes to the subject matter and I can emulate other singers in a unique way which helps as a form of reference with the client.
