The average millennial enjoying music to the fullest
20 years old, Minnesota born & raised. Albert Pan started piano lessons at age 5 and violin at 11. Just prior to his 14th birthday, he discovered yet a new toy: FL Studio 11. Music production became the new hobby with music itself the obsession. After graduating high school, he moved to New York City to continue pursuing music at New York University.
At the same time, Pan unveiled his own solo alias, "Folded Dragons". He debuted his first original under the new alias in early 2018 under the Trap Nation conglomerate label, making it into Germany's Top 50 on Spotify upon release. Gathering hundreds of thousands of plays throughout early 2018, he then stirred up the K-Pop scene by releasing an All-English cover/remix of BTS's hit single, "Fake Love". In less than 48 hours, his cover (which features YouTube stars Jason Chen, Ysabelle Cuevas, and AK Benjamin) topped the Soundcloud Dance Music Charts Worldwide.
Now, as an incoming sophomore at NYU, he is not only just breaking the bounds of music. Majoring in Music Technology, doing a joint Mathematics & Computer Science Minor, and learning all he can about the Entertainment Business with a BEMT minor, there is nothing that stops in his way. He is 100% self-taught on how to work the DAW inside out and continuously seeks to improve himself with new production techniques.

Interview with Albert Pan
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will always submit my best work, never less. From me, you can expect my absolute 100% every time.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Auditioning into New York University for Music Technology was a big first step for me. I've only looked upon music as a career choice for a year now, but have been producing music as a hobby for years.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: There are a whole bunch, too many to name. Most notable ones include Paris Blohm, 3LAU, Illenium, Alison Wonderland, Varien, Seven Lions, Hans Zimmer, & Lione. I listen to a lot of Korean Pop as well though, so groups like BTS, EXO, and F(x) are somewhere up there.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love music. Doing this is fun, inspiring, and enjoyable all at the same time! Sure, I'll get writers block and maybe a headache every once in a while, but it's all part of the process.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Curating emotion where there is little to be found.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Music Production (Originals & Remixes)
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Anything from dance to future bass, from trap to r&b, from cinematic/orchestral to pop.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It varies track by track. I can start off with a melody one day and go miles upon miles. Other days, a melody leads to a dead end and I go to the piano to lay out a chord progression. It really can start anywhere.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
