Endorse George Velev / Nightmare BeatsGreat Producer! His tracks are magical and sensational!
George is a very passionate and straight-to-the-point guy! It is very easy and outgoing to work with him. I can definitely recommend his services to everyone who wants to get his job done on a top-quality professional level!!
George produced a track for me which had everything I was looking for in a good song. I was amazed by his catalogue of beats when I approached him. He is a great professional, who gets everything done in time. He managed to perform on a tight deadline and that didn't stop him from sending me a high quality instrumental. I would rate his Mixing & Mastering services with the highest star here as well. The communication with him is easy and transparent. Don't hesitate to reach out to me in case you need any further information. Highly recommend!.

Interview with George Velev / Nightmare Beats
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog will live forever and is more stable but for me is all day and everyday digital. Reasons? Let me explain my point. We live in a modern world and a digital era. For me is important to be flexible all day and move from point A to point B and still be able to work on my projects. With analog you can't do that as you're locked to a room, because of the analog gear which is situated there ...also needs expensive air conditioning , special power supply and extra space which not many of us have.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise you individual approach , professional high quality music , friendly atmosphere and great money to project value.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I can choose my own work time and do my own schedules. Being locked in 9 to 5 job is a pain..) Music...who doesn't like it ? The feeling that you can make something musically valuable that translates to other people , nations , continents without speaking their language and knowing their culture...the true power of music!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: In most cases the questions are related to time deadlines and effectiveness of the process. I always manage to finish my projects in time even often times earlier than the arranged. Then of course money related questions... i'm grateful to SoundBetter , because i can clearly put my prices out without being forced to always explain $$$ over and over again.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I'm searching for artists with vision. I appreciate people who can describe their musical ideas. My questions on the other side are mainly related to the production side of a project and of course the future budget available in order to make your vision reality ! :)
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Enjoy the journey , take risks and let me work with you! :D Life is too short to find the "perfect" work buddy. Just try new people , new approaches.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop , Big speakers , Microphone and a shotgun !
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've started in the high school as a joke , trying to record myself doing some basic beatbox. Then i fell into the world of DAW's and start learning...it's like a drug ..once you start you can't stop. Afterwards i tried to create my own beats and opened my YouTube channel in 2016. Later on I decided to study audio engineering abroad. Then i moved to Berlin , Germany to step up my game and learn from the industry professionals. As expected...This place changed my approach to the music and my life completely. The rest is history...I'm already 6 years in this journey. As an upcoming young professional im trying to reach as many people as possible and build my fan base. It takes time but im confident that all will worth it soon.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Unique Mixture of todays most popular genres with my own style implemented.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Timbaland is my inspiration of all time. CLA and Tony Masserati - Badass Engineers WavyWayne - Very cool Mixing Engineer This is just a tiny part of all the industry professionals that inspire me for my work!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mostly Full Productions , Vocal tracking , Mix and Master
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I was involved in a collaboration with a Bulgarian music producer and singer that participated in "TheVoice". I did a complete song out of a few guitar loops that were send by him. Later on we recorded vocals for the song and i did the final mix for it as well. The whole project became pretty successful on YouTube with several thousand views and massively positive feedback from the audience. Not to mention that my beat was sold and the final song reached 18m views on YouTube.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Working on my EP , some new beats(beat store) and a really fresh sounding project with someone from Africa!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Currently Not
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That music production is just as easy as eating your breakfast in the morning! It takes time , it takes passion and dedication to the process. Rushing will only result in a negative aspect. Sometimes people underestimate the power of time and the freedom while doing what your best at.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Timbaland , Jay-Z and Timberlake , Scott Storch.. I want to see the magic myself..no explanation needed ..those who know , they know! Legends
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: At the end of the day the overall feeling is what matters the most , not the EQ curve at 1,5kHz with 12dp slope that nobody cares about , right ? :) Create music , not noise !
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Trap , Hip Hop , Pop , Electronic Music and ...:) Film scores ...!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Create from nothing - something Use sounds that nobody will find useful and create something amazing.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: To me the most important part in one song is the emotion. This includes all the small parts in the beat that creates the groove or the melody that brings the vibe.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Depends on the project! -Basic Example- Full Productions goes this way : 1- Beat and Melody Creation Listening Session and Feedback After each important stage of the project ( if needed adjustments ) 2- Arranging 3- Beat Mixing 4- (If required)- Vocal Tracking 5- Vocal Editing , Ad libs , stacking etc. 6- Full Session Mixing 7- Mastering ( If required ) I arrange different session days according to our schedules and "free" time! :) Changes may occure!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Not a fancy one for 130k$ but does the job better than ever. My system is adapted to work flawlessly and most importantly for achieving quick and quality results. Acoustically treated and optimised for the size of the room. As a fan of the digital era my studio has a 99% digital editing power. Proud owner of a digital software worth thousands of dollars.
