Interview with Brodan Mosley
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Bouncy, Energetic, Emotional & Tight
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a Home Studio setup, running Windows and Ableton Live 10. My VST's consist of: Waves, Fab Filter, iZotope, Native Instruments, Xfer and many more. I have KRK RP8's (and two more sets of speakers for referencing), the headphones I use are Pioneer - HDJ1000 MK2's and Bowers & Wiling - PX's (for referencing). I have a Navation - Impulse 49 and a Blue Yeti microphone booth.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: (MOZE & Cumminz - Heartbeat ft. Melody Causton) This has a very special place in my heart; the track was originally going to be a remix however I decided to get original vocals recorded. After 4 years in the making, Heartbeat went ot go and win me my second YCA (Young Creative Award) and was crowned 'Future Anthem' on Mistajams Dance Anthems show on BBC R1.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Calvin Harris because he has always been my biggest influence (since the disco days).
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: To eliminate any vibrations in your studio, have a sine wave play at different Hz to find where the vibration is coming from. Do this for long enough and you'll have no more vibrations.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: House / Pop
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring emotion, energy, interesting structures, ear candy and a clean, tight mix & master to finish off the job.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Deadmau5, Calvin Harris, Hans Zimmer
