Brazilian bassist, experience of 30 years alongside artists such as Tom Zé, Ney Matogrosso and Arnaldo Antunes. Specialized in Pop/Rock, Brazilian Samba and Bossa Nova, Jazz and Avant-Garde. Creative and functional, ready to reinforce the foundations of your music.
Hi, I'm Henrique Alves, I have been working as a professional bassist for over 30 years, I followed well-known artists in Brazil on various recordings and tours.
I have a degree from the Faculty of Popular Music and I am attending a postgraduate degree in Music Rock, both at Santa Marcelina College in São Paulo.
My style is very direct and functional, I like to build bass lines that reinforce the foundations of the song, looking for the perfect link between the rhythmic and harmonic parts, with well-placed melodic passages and phrases when there is room for them.
I am an expert in pop Rock/Pop styles but I have a lot of experience with brazilian music such as Samba and Bossa Nova, as well as in styles more focused on Electric Jazz and Experimental Music
Use Focusrite interface connected to a Tech 21 preamplifier. I record in Pro Tools and use Fender instruments. Contact me and I offer 3 reviews to give you what you're looking for.
