Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: - Is there something in music where you are having problems with, so i can help you to make your production better? - What are your favorite bands? - Do you have any special wishes regarding the job?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My guitar, my studiorack, PC, headphones, Keyboard
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Songwriter since 15 years. I played guitar, bass and drums in different bands and gained a lot of studioexperience there. I am producing other musicians and Bands since 5 years, founded my own studio in 2016 in Germany.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: A kind and funny dude who loves dogs. When its about work: reliable, detailed and motivated.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Taylor Larson. Because he has his unique style of mixing, always trying out new things and a very calm dude.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: A project of a german musician - I recorded his first album which he has produced himself with electronic stuff. He wanted to have a lot of real gutiars and drums in it, so he hired me for co-producing. This was a long jurney Producing-Recording-Mixing-Mastering. We´ve spend a lot of time together and become good friends.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A metalband which is doing oldschool metal (some older dudes..) very fun to work with them! And my own Studioproject.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not yet, i am new here!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Mostly digital - at some points analog. Best of both worlds. Because everything has its strength.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will always give my best to make you a happy and hopefully returning client. :)
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The creativity and to work with so many different people!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: If i can mix a big wall of guitars - my answer is always "what is that?" ..you should see the peoples face :]
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That i can mix a song in 2 hours.. of course i can, but i would like to take the time the music deserves (and theres not much more needed, be patient!:)
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Please always talk to the people you want to hire, ask questions and dont let them blend you with nice gear, pictures or so..
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Dont record heavy distorted guitars with to much gain. Eq the Bass over the Kick in Rock music. ... there are so many :)
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock, Metal, Djent.. all kinds of heavy, modern rock music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Staying motivated all the time.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As i am a multi-instrumental musician myself since 15 years, i bring a lot of songwriting, arrangement experience. If I feel theres something missing in the song, i love to help out and make the best song its best version it can get.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Its very important for me to talk in detail about the job before it starts. I want to understand what the client wants and deliver this to him. I like to give updates or ask questions, to be sure that everything is going the ways my client want.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My setup is a very modern one. I am working with a lot of modern techniques Plugins (mostly digital) which allows me to get that clear modern rock/metal sound. My mixingroom is equipped with two pairs of high end studiospeakers (Adam Audio & Yamaha), very well treated and soundoptimized.

A: Most of the time i am producing and mixing bands from europe all in the rock / metal genre. Beside that, i do masterings.
