John Lee Sanders, a talented multiple award-winning US composer, singer, lyricist, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist won a 2007 Emmy nomination, German Music Critics Award, 2014 Best Blues Recording, and 2014 San Francisco Drama Critics Award, among others. Credits include 20th Century Fox, Toyota, Nissan, Walmart, Apple, HBO, CBS, PBS, BBC Radio, and CBC Radio. He has also worked with icons like Stevie Wonder, Willie Nelson, Chuck Berry, Hal David, and 18 time Oscar-winning composers Alan and Marilyn Bergman. His 2007 CD, "Doc Goes Hollywood, was Arranged and conducted by Hollywood heavyweight, William Ross, Titanic, Harry Potter, Star Wars film composer, and Musical director of the Academy Awards, mixed by Al Schmitt at Capital Records, 20 time Grammy winner.
John Lee Sanders also won a Blues Award Nomination for Song of the Year, Canada Maple Blues Award, Keyboard Player of the Year, and a Best Sound Design Award. Other Superstars John has performed and recorded with include Bonnie Raitt, Tower of Power, Donald Fagan of Steely Dan, Huey Lewis, Jimmy Page, and Dave Goelz (best-known as “Gonzo” of The Muppets). Among John's accolades, Huey Lewis offered this compliment, "I did a guest DJ at a Washington DC blues station, and John's song, "Sorry Shade of Blue" is my one of my favorite blues songs of all time" .

  2. A: I get as much info from the client as possible, artist influence, bit rate, sample rate, tempo, number of takes, revisions, I do 3 or 4 takes per session, with.a few variations. I research the sounds and styles they are going far, as well as adding my own take

  4. A: My studio is in Spain, my DAW is Digital Peformer, Presonus AD converter, Neumann TLM 127 vocal sax mic, huge EW Kontakt Sample Library, Selmer saxes, fender & Cordoba Guitars,

  6. A: I'm inspired by so many artists, in many genres, Sting, Nina Simone, Dr John, Elton John, Billie Eilish, Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton, Miles Davis, Chris Stapelton, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Aretha Franklin, ,

  7. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  8. A: I do full production tracks, release ready or demo production, Vocal overdubs, Sax overdubs, keyboards, Piano, organ, synth, background vocals, String and horn arrangements, Full sax section, with Tenor, Alto and Soprano sax. I also compose to a client's original lyrics, I do anything from small ensembles, to Full Big Band and Orchestral arrangements.
