Atmos Ready and Located in Denton, Tx- I cater to all genres of music. I utilize Universal Audio gear and all the latest plugins to get the project where YOU want it. I've definitely fixed my share of poorly mixed sessions and I've seen and fixed just about all the mistakes that can be made by a bad engineer.
I'm a music producer, not just an engineer. I am an alumni from the renowned University of North Texas College of Music (Norah Jones, Don Henley, Lacrae, Snarky Puppy to name a few)
I bring musicality to editing, a highly detailed ear and adventurous mixing to boot.
Work with me, and you're not just a client, you are a personal project of mine.

Interview with MixWithRick.com
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: BOTH!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been a musician since I was 9 and have been in the Music biz for about 20 years now.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Bringing the original artist's vision to a much more articulate fuition!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Usually, there's an initial mix and then I send the track back for notes from the artist.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: A wizard never reveals his secrets ;-) But I'm Atmos and Analog equipped and have a large amount of instruments at my disposal..
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: They will get over and above what they expected their music to sound like.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The clients!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: The basics; Genre, desired outcome, goals of the artist as a whole
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Play to your level, be honest with yourself and the song and don't forget the real reason we play music.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Very laid back, creative and artist-centric. Also, very fast
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with... YOU!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Try to listen to your plugins in 'Bypass' mode. You'll find that there are many plugins that will affect the sound of a track even if they're turned off! This can be a subtle help to nuanced mixes.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on all kinds.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Just what the artist feels the song needs, nothing more.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Sylvia Massey, David Prater, Sterling Winfield are all really great.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mostly mixing/editing/mastering, but I frequently get requests to play instruments, program drums and do string arrangements too.
