What if your song felt like a film? I craft vocal-driven music that hits like a story.
Hi, I’m a vocal-driven music producer, film composer, singer, and songwriter specializing in emotional storytelling and cinematic intensity. Whether I’m crafting a stripped-back vocal score or building a full pop production, my voice is the heartbeat of everything I make.
My work has been featured in trailers and projects for NBC (The Hunting Party), Netflix (Stay Close), Apple TV, Hulu, ESPN, Discovery+, and more. I recently scored, executive produced, and starred in my own short film, If Looks Could Kill, singing live on set and creating the underscore using my voice as the primary instrument. I’ve composed soundtracks ranging from charming short films to full-length action films—built entirely around my vocal-driven sound.
Clients come to me for vocals that cut through, songwriting that moves, and production that elevates. I’m obsessed with telling stories through music, and I bring that passion into every collaboration.
Whether you need a topliner, custom score, or one-of-a-kind vocal performance, I bring the full package—from raw emotion to radio-ready polish.
Let’s make something unforgettable.

Angelique was a joy to work with! She has great energy and her voice is unparalleled! She created an incredible demo for a song I wrote and I couldn't be more pleased. She is extremely communicative and works efficiently! This has been the easiest and best demoing process I've ever had. Thank you for everything Angelique!
Interview with Angelique Calvillo
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to care about you. Period.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I am protective, especially of women. Make sure whoever you hire respects you and honors your vision. The most gratifying thing in the world is when your project comes out the way you hear it in your head. Fight for that. Advocate for yourself. And pick a music producer who is respectful, who will prioritize your vision above their own ego. (Whether it's me or someone else you trust!)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: There is an honest-to-God photo of me as a six year old with headphones on in a music studio: my first professional vocal session. I have been doing this forever.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I describe my musical style as 🧚🏻♀️FAIRY POP🧚🏻♀️ But of course, if someone is hiring me to create something for them, I excel in 🦋DREAMY ETHERIAL POP / SOUL🦋
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I dream, (literally dream) of working with Lin Manuel Miranda. He is such a genius; it would be amazing to collaborate with him on a musical or a Disney Animation project. I would die happy.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When I scored my last film, the director didn't have a huge budget for a full orchestra. What I did was hire one incredible violinist who layered all the parts I needed. I encouraged him to give me lots of slides and human textures, so the human ear would know it was a real violin. Then I used different string section patches from Omnisphere to make it sound huge. The combination of the two ended up sounding like a real string section. POINT BEING: Embellish any synthetic instruments with real ones, and the human ear accepts the whole thing as real. Here's how it came out: https://open.spotify.com/track/77NNKcps6loEz6QmiCCR7i?si=3f7c41676b4f43ba
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: When it comes to vocal harmony, I have the most fun and bring the most value. I love layering background parts, adding color and texture to the song. Here is an example of what I can do with harmony: https://open.spotify.com/track/32kPE4ODzdLjTIN7uBoLHK?si=c00f2b38b6614a6b
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring tremendous creativity as well as sensitivity. I am in tune with the most subtle nuances, which helps me to deliver high quality finished products.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a really lovely home studio which is covered in flowers and fairy lights. I enjoy creating a space that is feminine and safe, especially for women.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I look up to Imogen Heap so much! When she performs, she uses her high tech "Mi.Mu Gloves" which she innovated herself. (When she sang "Hide and Seek" live, I wept like a child.) She also has done a soundtrack album for the Harry Potter universe. I just love the way she moves between being an artist in her own right and a film composer / tech innovator extraordinaire.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Because I have a unique sound, many clients come to me looking for that creative touch. I layer a lot of vocal harmony: a technique I call 🧚🏻♀️FAIRY VOICES🧚🏻♀️ and it brings a lot of magic to each production.
