Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: The mix you find on my profile, I recorded on tape with a Neve and Studer, and loads of analog gear! By varispeeding the tape, we got the low end and swampy groove, which give the song great character.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Hybrid! I love the convenience of digital, but there are simply things you can't recreate by only working digital. Analog simply responds different, and will create different harmonics.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Strong productions with great dynamics and emotional impact!

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Make choices during the recording and production of your song! Best advice I've gotten in years. It so much more difficult when you leave everything to be decided in the mix, or it will even not be possible to get it the way you want it to be. You can't fix it in the mix, only enhance it!

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I mostly work on rock productions. That's also the style I grew up with and know the most of!

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: I usually work In The Box when I mix. This makes revisions easier, so I can worry about creating the best mix for you! I can also work with analog consoles, such as a NEVE or an SSL, which obviously bring great character to your song! But this is expensive and time consuming labour, so if you would want to do this, please send me a request and we will plan it out!

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: I'm very much inspired by Queen and Prince. They created real pieces of art that trigger your imagination and bring out emotions. Some more new era artists that inspire me are Nothing But Thieves, Lianne La Havas and Harry Styles. They all have a unique musical character, production and sound, which I really like.
