Interview with Alex Ariete
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: You will get the product you hear with a perfect idea that comes to mind. I'm here to make that wish come true.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I find it crucial to understand where the client is coming from and the task that needs to be done in as much detail as possible so I satisfy him/her with the best of my ability.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: 8 years. I began DJing when I was 10 years old and I've been working on my production and craft ever since. I'm so happy to have gone such a long way and it is parallel to the music I'm creating now.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Having a very creative mind to either elevate a produced track or start from scratch and easily taking direction from any client.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I love listening to as many reference tracks as possible depending on the genre I'm producing so I can meet the same quality and engaging experience as some of the top-tier songs. Mixing the track as the production progresses is a second nature to me which will give you the sound you are looking for from Trap, to House, to even Latin.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Personally, the song on my profile is my most satisfactory work so far. I personally invest a lot into the song with over 50 hours of work spread into over 2 months from the songwriting, singing, multiple demos, and getting final touches that make the song what you would want to hear on any radio.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Always keeping busy, traveling, producing demos for various clients, and studying college.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Eyla is such a great singer to work with. The official voice on "Tequila" is the immaculate top-line she sung.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I don't consider it a job. That's why it's incredible.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: I'm moderately flexible with the pricing depending on the genre but my ample prices do not disappoint. 2 revisions. (more revisions will including an additional fee) Feel free to contact me to hear more genre specific demos.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: There's not a lot of top-tier producers that will put the effort and time I will into your project which will sound like the next Post Malone, Ariana Grande, and J Balvin hit record.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: You will NOT regret this hire. I've been able to prove myself to some of the top people in the industry and I will do the same for your creative view.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Macbook Charger Headphones Ableton Plugins
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Versatile but I still have a very consistent sound so you will not receive anything that is under my quality standards.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Charlie Puth - JUST A LEGEND! No words, he's one of the best singers and producers in my honest opinion!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Layer layer layer sounds! From snares, chords, basses, and even kicks. Creates a full and deep sounding mix which I find sooo important.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electro Pop, Trap, Hip-hop, Latin, House.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring radio quality sound which has undeniably been proven by working with amazing artists such as Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Khalid, etc.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Charlie Puth is a legendary singer, songwriter, and producer that is capable of creating amazing master pieces. He is such an inspiration, especially being a Berklee College of Music graduate as myself. J Balvin - I look up to his amazing quality in both production and vocals which I been able to achieve just recently. Khalid - Always has a groovy punch which just flows within the vocals and production.
