Interview with sin
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: keshi or Kaash Paige are my top two. I love their sound and are inspirations to my own musical style.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Your recording setup/procedures are just as important as processing. If you have too many bad frequencies in a recording, then processing can only do so much to fix that.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mostly work on hip-hop influenced music, that have a kind of Juice WRLD sound.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Engineering is my strongest skill - in general. I'm a mathematics major and the ability to conform music to numbers is something that has always appealed to me and led me down this path.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Generally, I will import any given stems into my DAW and run through my standard mixing processes (vocal tuning, EQ'ing, etc.), then fine-tune the sound from that point on with the client till they are happy with the final product. Once they are happy, I will master the record and send it off to them.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a MXL V67G Condenser microphone. I use REAPER as my DAW of choice.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing and mastering of vocals and full-length projects.
